It has always only been liberated by resistance.”On April 1, 2018, Deek tweeted: “It should be clear.....return will happen by all means made necessary by the colonizer.”
Deek’s tweet included an image of two Palestinian men brandishing assault rifles.
On July 12, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Deek tweeted: “Palestinian resistance, ‘we will not die quietly,’ rocket hits tel al rabee3 (colonized name tel aviv).”
Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
Glorifying Terrorist Leaders
On November 12, 2019, Deek tweeted a screenshot of an article about the death of terrorist Baha Abu al-Ata. She wrote: “...Yes it is he who is ‘powerful’ per this headline nothing less than our suicide suffices #Gaza.”On May 29, 2019, Deek tweeted in support of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and concluded: “#LongLiveTheResistance to all, esp Zionist, oppression.”

Khader Adnan was a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization. A 2007 YouTube video showed Adnan praising and encouraging suicide bombings: "Who among you will carry the next explosive belt? Who among you will fire the next bullets? Who among you will have his body parts blown all over?” In May 2023, Adnan died in prison after refusing medical treatment during a hunger strike.

On December 8, 2017, Deek said [00:16:03] at an anti-Israel rally: “It is the Intifada that will bring peace here in the U.S.! Long live the Intifada! Long live the Intifada!”Since the early 2000s, the term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” has carried the connotation of violence.
In December 2017, the U.S. government announced its decision to formally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Hatred of Zionists and Israelis
On June 4, 2019, Deek referred to Israelis in a tweet as: “...hungry rabid Zionists obsessed with theft and apartheid and violence and dependent on the US for survival still somehow.”
On March 27, 2019, Deek referred to [00:34:54] a “stark polarization that we’re seeing happen all over the world…Zionist, fascists, Neo-Nazis…on one end; and those who are fighting for black lives…and Palestine, and justice, and humanity, and for human and global morality on the other end.”
On January 28, 2016, Deek said [00:16:29]: “We need to take responsibility for the Zionists in our communities and we need to start finding them, identifying them exposing them, blacklisting them.”
Hatred of Zionism
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.
Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories
On May 30, 2014, Deek claimed [00:38:42] at a conference: “They do in fact sit together in a room and collaborate on this. And when I say ‘they’ I mean Zionist organizations, the Israeli government officials directly and their proxies, and our legislators, our police departments, our federal enforcement agencies, our prosecutors. I know this for a fact.”Deek added [00:39:26]: “It is very clear that there is a room in which they sit together and they decide who and how to prosecute, which mechanisms of repression to implement, when to implement them…”
She also suggested [00:39:59] that Israel had “immeasurable human and financial resources.”
On March 27, 2019, Deek claimed [00:46:20]: “The whole point of Israel coming into being is that the Arabs would be made into slaves...” She was speaking at a book launch at which she was the featured speaker. The launch was co-organized by WOL.
On July 1, 2019, Deek tweeted: “...Israel is a racist apartheid ethnic cleansing entity that foments war globally and perpetuates the arms race to sustain its racist institutions Israel is a global threat.”
On August 26, 2019, Deek tweeted: “...Israel is a key obstacle to regional peace and self/democratic rule, and a key obstacle to efforts toward global peace.”
On April 16, 2022, Deek featured [00:01:41] in an Al-Awda NY Twitter video where she said: “What drives Israel drives all oppression in the world!”
On May 13, 2022, Deek featured [00:01:05] at an Al-Awda NY event where she said: “Israel is a global threat...Israel threatens everybody."
Comparing Israel with Nazi Germany
On May 28, 2019, Deek tweeted: “Indeed, just as Nazi judges were tried and convicted at Nuremberg so shall the Zionist judiciary and legal community.”
Hatred of Israel
The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.
On July 6, 2023, the day after an Israeli counterterrorism operation in the Jenin refugee camp concluded, Deek tweeted: “Armed invading colonizer neutralized in Nablus.”
Deek’s tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “
BREAKING: One colonial soldier is confirmed to be killed in the resistance run-over and shooting operation at ‘Kedumim’ settlement near #Nablus. At least one other is seriously wounded and is being evacuated to a hospital.”An Israeli soldier was reportedly killed on July 6, 2023, by Palestinian terrorist Ahmed Ghaidan near the Israeli city of Kedumim. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, claimed responsibility for the attack which was in response to the Jenin operation.
Also on July 6, 2023, Deek tweeted: “To be accurate, Palestinian Freedom Fighter killed undertaking operation against war criminal colonizing soldier…Where law is prohibited resistance is expected.”
Deek’s tweet was in response to a tweet that showed a photo of Ahmed Ghaidan holding a gun and wearing a Hamas headband. The tweet said: “You’ll read about an ‘innocent young Palestinian’ killed by Israeli security. Here he is. A vile terrorist who murdered an Israeli. Hamas has claimed him as a member of its terror organization.”
On February 24, 2019, Deek tweeted: “...Israel is a nuclear armed racist supremacist apartheid-for-genocide entity whose society is overwhelimgly united by the murder of Palestinians, facilitated by s**t propaganda like urs, and Palestinians r obliged to defend themselves by all means necessary.”
On February 3, 2019, Deek tweeted: “...‘Israel’ is internationally institutionalized violent supremacy, it’s the KKK with a seat on the world stage.”
On March 8, 2017, Deek spoke [00:00:15] at the “International Women’s Strike - NYC” protest. She said: [00:01:23] “...Zionist Israel has decimated Palestine and the entire Middle East. Since 1948, trillions of your tax dollars built for Zionist Israel the fourth largest killing machine of the world, making Israel the colonial center and global exporter of oppression.”
On August 9, 2014, Deek said [00:01:30] at a an anti-Israel event: “All of Palestine, from the river to the sea, ‘48, ‘67, Gaza and the Sinai is Palestine!”
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
“48” refers to 1948, the year the State of Israel was established.
Organizing a Pro-Hamas Convoy
In July 2009, Deek organized the Viva Palestina (VP) Convoy to Gaza.In 2009, anti-Israel British politician George Galloway led three “Viva Palestina” convoys within one year of “Operation Cast Lead (OCL),” which Israel commenced to stop Hamas rocket fire from Gaza targeting Israeli civilians. Galloway has a history of supporting terrorists and his anti-Zionist rhetoric has been condemned as anti-Semitic many times. In June 2019, “Viva Palestina” lost its charitable status after failing to “be able to properly account for charitable funds raised and spent.”
Legal Assistance for Violent Rioters
As of 2022, Deek advertised on her professional website that she devised a “legal and organizing strategy for survivors” of the Mavi Marmara in 2010.The “Free Gaza Movement” [Gaza Freedom Movement] has organized boats to Gaza meant to “break the siege,” including a May 2010, “Freedom Flotilla.” Activists on board the lead ship, the Mavi Marmara, were found to be carrying crude weapons and initiated an organized, violent confrontation with Israeli forces.
Supporting BDS
On November 15, 2018, Deek tweeted: “...#BDS is not just a moral obligation to Palestinians but to Americans who are directly threatened by a world which normalizes Apartheid, racial supremacy and colonization & directly threatened by Israeli repression, surveillance and militarism in the US.”On February 13, 2014, Deek tweeted: “I love/engage in #BDS, but until all Palestinians, all Palestine, is liberated we must support all resistance to violent israeli occupation.”
CAIR
CAIR describes itself as a “grassroots civil rights and advocacy group” and “America's largest Muslim civil liberties organization, with regional offices nationwide.” Its official mission is “enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.”
CAIR reportedly has “significant ties” to the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as Hamas. A number of former CAIR employees have been convicted on fraud and terrorism-related charges that resulted monetary fines, jail terms and, sometimes, deportation.
CAIR was founded in 1994 and opened its first office in Washington, DC, with the help of a $5,000 donation from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), a charity founded by Mousa Abu Marzook.
Marzook, who was listed as a "Specially Designated Terrorist" by the U.S. Treasury Department in 1995, is reportedly a senior member of Hamas.
In May 2007, CAIR was listed as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a U.S.-filed action against the HLF for providing funds to Hamas.
CAIR was also listed as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates, in 2014.
AMP
American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) was founded by UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian as a vehicle to generate mainstream support in the United States for the Palestinian national cause.
On its website, the organization lists Bazian as the chairman of its national board and describes itself as “a national education and grassroots-based organization, dedicated to educating the American public about Palestine and its rich cultural, historical and religious heritage.”
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has accused AMP of promoting “extreme anti-Israel views and has at times provided a platform for anti-Semitism under the guise of educating Americans” about Palestinians. The ADL further stated that AMP is directly involved in campus-based anti-Israel activity through Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).
Prior to founding the AMP in 2006, Dr. Bazian created SJP together with fellow UC Berkeley Professor Snehal Shingavi in 2001. The close working relationship between AMP and SJP has been documented several times over the years by several organizations, including NGO Monitor and StandWithUs.
In addition to providing financial, public relations and legal assistance to SJP, AMP has also been accused of having connections to Hamas. The AMP national board includes former members of both the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP) and Holy Land Foundation (HLF), both of which were found liable for aiding and abetting Hamas. The IAP was founded by Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, a senior member of Hamas.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
