Location: CUNY Graduate Center, New York, NY

The Instagram post promoting the event accused Israel of having a "genocidal campaign" in Gaza during its war against Hamas. The post concluded with a hashtag calling for Israel's destruction: "#FreePalestine."

The term “genocide” was coined in 1942 and first used at the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi war criminals. Since Israel's founding in 1948, anti-Israel activists have accused Israel of "genocide" in an attempt to compare Jews to Nazis and delegitimize the creation of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel.

“Free Palestine!” is a chant used to call for Israel's destruction, acting as a shorter version of "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!" It was shouted during multiple deadly attacks on pro-Israel activists in 2025 in America. It has been used to vandalize synagogues and other Jewish-owned property, and is described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.”
