Kendrick Peterson

Kendrick Peterson [Kendrick M. Peterson] was co-president of his student government when it defended an anti-Semitic bylaw in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in 2022.

In May 2022, Peterson announced he would be the 2022-2023 co-president of the student government at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Berkeley Law), known as the Student Association at Berkeley Law (SABL).

In October 2022, SABL signed [slide 3] a “Statement of Solidarity” published by Berkeley Law’s Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter (Berkeley LSJP). The statement supported student groups that had adopted a version of a Berkeley LSJP bylaw banning [p. 3] speakers who “expressed and continued to hold views…in support of Zionism, the apartheid state of Israel, and the occupation of Palestine.”

As of December 2022, Peterson’s LinkedIn page said he was pursuing a JD at Berkeley Law and a master’s degree in Public Policy at the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy (GSPP), slated to graduate in 2024.

As of the same date, Peterson’s LinkedIn page said he has been an Associate Editor at the California Law Review since August 2022.

Also as of December 2022, Peterson’s LinkedIn page said he was a Summer Associate at Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C., from May to July 2022. Peterson wrote on LinkedIn that he would work at the Morrison Foerster office in Washington D.C. as a “2023 Summer Associate and Wetmore fellow!”

As of the same date, Peterson’s LinkedIn page said he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame) in June 2020.

As of December 2022, Peterson’s LinkedIn page said he was located in Berkeley, California.
