Kamryn Matsumoto [Mikie Matsumoto] reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The January 15, 2024 statement Kamryn Matsumoto signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of January 2026, Kamryn Matsumoto's LinkedIn said she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with a bachelor's degree in textile design in 2025. FIT is part of SUNY and is located in New York, New York.

As of the same date, Kamryn Matsumoto's LinkedIn said she worked part-time as a design studio intern at Kravet and was located in New York, New York.
