In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders in connection with alleged crimes against humanity committed during Israel’s Swords of Iron war againt Hamas. The arrest warrants were condemned as politicized, with several ICC member states indicating that they would refuse to comply with the warrants. U.S. president Biden condemned the arrest warrants as “outrageous.”
