Jessica Metzger

Jessica Metzger participated in at least one pro-terror event in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in March 2024. Metzger also participated in the pro-Hamas encampment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of April 2025, Jessica Metzger's LinkedIn profile said she was pursuing a PhD in physics at the MIT, slated to graduate in 2028. She began her PhD program in August 2022.

As of August 2025, WCVB Channel 5 Boston reported that Jessica Metzger protested inside the MIT encampment and was subsequently banned from classes and research. WCVB Channel 5 Boston continued and quoted Metzger as saying: "'It's very stressful...' 'It's a lot to put on somebody just for participating in a peaceful sit-in.'"

There were over 200 pro-Hamas and anti-Israel college encampments set up in North America, and over 20 more globally, in the spring of 2024. The first began on April 17, 2024, at Columbia University. The encampments were unofficially known as the “student intifada,” borrowing a term associated with terrorist violence.

Protesters harassed Jewish students, blocked Jews from campus facilities and shouted anti-Semitic slogans. They occupied campus grounds, in many cases illegally, caused property damage, violently took over buildings, celebrated terrorism and promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Activists set up encampments to oppose Israel’s right to wage war against the Hamas terror group following October 7, 2023, when Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 people, including 32 American and 8 Canadian citizens. Hamas also kidnapped 252 people, including 11 Americans and the bodies of 2 murdered Canadians.

Marchers at the rally carried signs produced by the organizers that said: "RESISTANCE IS JUSTIFIED WHEN PEOPLE ARE OCCUPIED!"

Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.

The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The outcome of the movement's goals would result in Israel's destruction. Within hours of the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, the BDS movement renewed its call for an anti-Israel boycott.
