As of May 2025, Issam Azzam's LinkedIn profile said he had worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (Harvard GSD) since January 2024.
As of the same date, Issam Azzam's LinkedIn said he was studying for a master's degree in urban planning and landscape architecture at Harvard GSD, slated to graduate in May 2025.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
