Emma Hartung [Emma Waysse Hartung] participated in an anti-Israel protest in San Jose, California, in December 2023.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
At the December 2023 protest, Hartung held a sign that accused Israel of "GENOCIDE" during its war against Hamas in Gaza, and promoted elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of July 2025, Emma Hartung was listed as the Wisteria residential education community coordinator at Stanford University (Stanford).
