Elinor Hanjian

Elinor Hanjian reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The January 15, 2024 statement Elinor Hanjian signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of April 2026, Elinor Hanjian's LinkedIn said she graduated from the SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry (SUNY ESF) with a master's degree in environmental studies in 2024. SUNY ESF is part of the SUNY system and is located in Syracuse, New York.

As of the same date, Elinor Hanjian's LinkedIn also said she was studying for a PhD in environmental science at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston), which is located in Boston, Massachusetts.
