David Duke
Overview
David Duke [David Ernest Duke] has been a prominent neo-Nazi activist in the American white nationalist movement since the early 1970’s.Duke has spread coronavirus anti-Semitism online as well as allegations about Jewish and Israeli control over governments, media, business, finance and academia.
Duke has suggested that Jews seek to destroy white people through “White Genocide.”
Duke has alleged that Jews use sex to subvert society and that Jews are waging a “War on Christianity and Christians Worldwide.” He has blamed Jews for Communism and its atrocities, accused American Jews of dual loyalty and alleged that Jews exploit the Holocaust.
Duke has also spread racism and anti-Israel conspiracy theories and promoted hatred of Israel
Duke is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and has expressed support for anti-Israel agitators.
All of Duke’s statements compiled in this profile represent a small sample of his total comments but represent ideas consistent in his activism.
History of White Nationalist Activism
In 1970, Duke founded the White Youth Alliance while a student at Louisiana State University (LSU).In 1973, Duke reportedly joined the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and “became the editor of its publication, ‘The Crusader.’” He graduated from LSU in 1974 and founded the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (KKKK), a branch of the KKK, the same year.
He was reportedly the KKKK national director from 1975 until 1980. As of May 2020, the KKK website imperialklansofamerica.com referred to Duke’s title at the time as “Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, Inc.”
In 1980, Duke reportedly resigned from the KKK and founded the National Association for the Advancement of White People (NAAWP)
In 1989, Duke was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, where he served until 1993.
In 1991, Duke won the Republican primary for the Louisiana governorship but lost the general election.
In 1998, Duke published his first book, titled: “My Awakening: A Path To Racial Understanding.” In 2003, he published his second book, titled, “Jewish Supremacism: My Awakening on the Jewish Question.”
Duke pleaded guilty in 2002 on U.S. federal charges for mail and tax fraud, for which he served 15 months in federal prison. He faced a series of legal problems in several countries over the next few years.
In 2006, Duke spoke at the “International Conference to Review the Global Vision of the Holocaust” in Iran.
In 2009, Duke was reportedly arrested in the Czech Republic for being “suspected of denying or approving of the Nazi genocide and other Nazi crimes,” which was “punishable by up to three years in prison.”
In 2011, he was reportedly arrested in Germany and ordered to be deported due to his “expulsion from the Czech Republic in 2009, following his detention there on suspicion of denying the Holocaust.”
Also in 2011, Duke published his third book, titled: “The Secret Behind Communism,” which accuses “Jewish Supremacists” of creating and guiding the Communist movement.
In 2017, Duke spoke at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA, a large gathering of White Nationalists. The rally turned violent as Antifa and other leftists clashed against neo-Nazis and their allies. In 2020, Duke reportedly paid $5,000 in a settlement to a counter-protester who was “severely injured” at the rally and still required medical treatment.
As of 2020, Duke remained highly active on social media, including Twitter and Youtube, as well as the video site Bitchute. As of the same date, Duke ran the website davidduke.com and broadcasted an online daily radio show on the Rense Radio Network.
On July 31, 2020, Duke wrote on Gab: “Just Banned from Twitter for intellectually speaking the truth! So I will be communicating with you here @RealDavidDuke.” News reports that day confirmed that Duke had been deplatformed from Twitter.
Coronavirus Anti-Semitism
On March 11, 2020, Duke tweeted: “Rachel Maddow said that Fabio Wajngarten, a Zionist & Brazil Press Minister - may have given the President Coronavirus a few days ago! Wajngarten is allegedly COVID positive! When I saw Trump speak, to me he looked and spoke like he was sick. Maybe this how the ZioElite gets him?”Duke has frequently used the slur “Zio,” a commonly used derogatory reference to Zionists and an often-used anti-Semitic slur.
On March 12, 2020, Duke tweeted: “Does president Donald Trump have coronavirus? Are Israel and the Global Zionist elite up to their old tricks?”

On March 26, 2020, Duke suggested [00:11:55] on his radio show that Israel spread the virus to government leaders in Iran and Italy.

Duke continued [00:30:13]: “They knew that it was gonna cause a condition, and they along with their brothers in the media, like CNN, which is, by the way, the same stockholders as Goldman Sachs.”
Duke went on [00:30:38]: “So they knew that they could, with their help… in the media, create this pandemic. They could spook the stock market; they could then sell the stock market short, right? They could make trillions of dollars and they could take away the wealth of that middle class [sic].”
The term “Israel Firster” is an anti-Semitic slur used against diaspora Jews and non-Jews to imply they are more loyal to Israel than their own nations.

ZOG stands for Zionist Occupied Government, an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Jews control western governments.

During the meeting, Hill reportedly whitewashed Palestinian violence and accused Israel of “state violence and ethnic cleansing.” He also called for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea.”
In September 2018, during a U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) conference, Hill insinuated [00:31:01] that Israel poisons Palestinian water and seemingly approved [00:30:34] of violence against Israelis.
