Dan Zeno
Dan Zeno was arrested while participating in an anti-Israel encampment, expressed support for terrorism and spread hatred of Zionists and Israel. Zeno has also engaged in anti-Israel activism after the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israel when Hamas terrorists murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis and took hundreds hostage.
Dan Zeno is a graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who set up an anti-Israel encampment at MIT in April 2024. Zeno gave multiple interviews to media outlets as an encampment representative.
On April 21, 2024, MIT students set up an anti-Israel encampment called “Scientists Against Genocide Encampment” on the university’s Kresge Lawn. The encampment was organized by MIT Graduates for Palestine (mitg4p), MIT Coalition Against Apartheid, MIT Arab Student Organization, and National Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).
On April 26, 2024, Al Jazeera reported [00:00:33] that Zeno was part of mitg4p.
Zeno is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Zeno’s activism and social media posts occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, called “Swords of Iron.” Israel launched the war after a series of Hamas terror attacks and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023. The terror attacks left approximately 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded.
On July 16, 2023, Zeno spoke [00:03:11] at a storytelling event called “The Yarn @ MIT Sloan” and explained why it took him six years to complete a master’s of business administration (MBA) studies at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
In October 2024, Zeno posted on Instagram that he was a graduate student at MIT, slated to finish his studies “this semester.”
MIT is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
