Cidra Ezzeddin

Cidra Ezzeddin was an officer of a Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter that expressed support for Hamas and spread hatred of Israel after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel.

Cidra Ezzeddin expressed hatred of Israel in her SJP activism in 2023 and 2024.

As of March 2024, Ezzeddin’s since-deleted LinkedIn profile said she served as secretary of the SJP chapter (sjpwsu) at Wayne State University (WSU). WSU is located in Detroit, Michigan.

Ezzeddin’s SJP chapter showed support for Hamas following a series of Hamas terror atrocities and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023. The Hamas terror attacks left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.” For more information on the October 7, 2023 attacks, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

Ezzeddin was identified as the co-founder of The Falastin Post, a Palestinian advocacy publication, hosted on the sjpwsu Instagram account. The masthead of The Falastin Post contains the tagline: “Resistance Until Reclamation, Generation After Generation, Until Total Liberation, From the River to the Sea.”

Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

Ezzeddin is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

In March 2024, Ezzeddin’s LinkedIn profile said that she was studying for a bachelor’s degree in psychology and neuroscience at WSU, slated to graduate in 2025.

Ezzeddin’s since-deleted also said she interned as a journalist for WDET 101.9FM since April 2024, and that she was a research assistant at WSU’s Institute of Gerontology Lab from September 2023 through April 2024, as well as a part-time behavioral health technician for Chitter Chatter pediatric therapy center from August 2021 through August 2022.

As of December 2024, the National Provider Identifier (NPI) listed Ezzaddin as a registered behavior technician (RBT), Registration Number 1669147104, since August 16, 2021.
