Brian Murray participated in an anti-Israel event at Harvard University (Harvard) in May 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
As of April 2025, Brian Murray's Bluesky profile said he was a staff organizer for the Harvard Graduate Student Union (HGSU).
As of March 2025, the Boston chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), known as Boston DSA, said that Brian Murray participated in a solidarity "sip-in" as a former member of Starbucks Workers United. As of September 2024, Working Mass, a project of DSA members in Massachusetts, reported that Murray was the president of UAW Staff United (USU).
