Ashley-Ann Morris

Ashley-Ann Morris ripped down posters meant to raise awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza. Morris has also called for Israel’s destruction on social media.

Hamas kidnapped the civilians, including women and children, during a series of terror attacks and war crimes that left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Hamas executed the terror attacks on October 7, 2023.

The other Hamas war crimes included mass murder, torture, rape and beheadings. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron,” which was going on when Morris ripped down the posters.

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

As of December 4, 2023, Morris, who also goes by AJ Morris, wrote on her Clubhouse bio that she was “writer. community worker.”

As of December 5, 2023, Morris’s since-deleted LinkedIn profile said she was a freelance writer.

In May 2023, Morris was listed online as a student in the master’s degree program in creative publishing and critical journalism (CPCJ) at the New School for Social Research (New School) in New York, New York. However, as of December 4, 2023, she was no longer on the CPCJ’s list of current master’s degree students.

As of the same date, Morris was also listed online as a digital editor at Back Matter digital magazine at the New School.

As of December 4, 2023, Morris was listed online as having graduated from the University of Toronto (UofT) with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology in 2020. Morris reportedly had attended [p. 4] UofT’s Scarborough campus (UTSC) and was listed as “Ashley-Ann Janelle Morris” on the UofT website.
