Anthony James Altick

Anthony James Altick was arrested multiple times for violent crimes, including on a first-degree murder charge in 2015. He was sentenced to two years in prison in 2017. Anthony James Altick has also spread anti-Semitism and distributed anti-Semitic flyers as an activist with the neo-Nazi Goyim Defense League (GDL).

As of June 2023, Anthony James Altick was an activist with the GDL, an anti-Semitic hate group and conspiracy theorist network created in 2018, with headquarters in Palm Bay, Florida. The group stages anti-Semitic stunts across the U.S. and operates a white supremacist online video-sharing platform called GoyimTV (GTV).

The term “goy” in Hebrew and Yiddish is often used to refer to a non-Jew, with “goyim” being the plural form. “Goy” literally means “nation” in Hebrew.

In November 2024, Altick was reportedly identified as one of group of 11 neo-Nazis who, on March 16, 2024, marched through the “Short North” neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, shouting racial and anti-Semitic slurs. Police who detained the group identified Altik as the driver of the cargo van carrying the group through the neighborhood, and identified the group as the “Hate Club 1844.” 1844 is a variation on the neo-Nazi hate symbol "1488."

“1488” is a common neo-Nazi phrase. The “14” stands for the “14 Words,” a term created by white supremacist David Lane, meaning: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." The “88” is code for “Heil Hitler,” since “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet.
