Amulya Aluru participated in an anti-Israel event at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in May 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists.
As of July 2025, Aluru was listed on the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) website as pursuing a PhD in molecular and cell biology.
As of the same date, Aluru was listed on the MIT website as having received a bachelor's degree in 2023 and a master's in engineering (MEng) degree in 2024, both from MIT.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
