Amjad Ramadan spread anti-Semitism and expressed support for Hamas terrorism after October 7, 2023. Ramadan also expressed support for a Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist and participated in a campaign targeting a pro-Israel Jewish philanthropist.
Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped hundreds more on October 7, 2023. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

On October 15, 2024, Ramadan posted on X, referring to Israel: "What homeland are you talking about, the one that god gave you 😂😂😂😂😂😂 / Stop this nonsense and go back to Europe."
One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to claim [00:06:46] that Jews, particularly Ashkenazi Jews, do not descend from the ancient Israelites. This claim alleges that Jews are white Europeans who lack a connection to the Land of Israel.
On October 9, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas, Ramadan posted on X: "There is no such thing as self defence against the people you occupy, it is like an intruder attacking the owner of the house he invaded and claim he is defending himself." His post was in response to another post on X that said: "We too support Israel’s right to self defense."
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
On August 5, 2024, Ramadan posted on X: "Your count is so wrong , October 7 alone counts as 7 points against your looser [sic] colonial project that is called isntreal [Israel] 😂😂." His post was in response to a post that said: "Is this a good time to mention that Israel is 6-0 in wars with neighboring countries?"
On April 7, 2024, Ramadan posted on X: "...the resistance are legitimate freedom fighters against [Israeli] occupation..."
Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
On December 7, 2023, Ramadan posted on X: "The apartheid state Israel will go down, the whole world can see them now for who they are and they can't hide the truth anymore, the liberation of Palestine has just started ✌️"
On the same date, Ramadan posted on X in Arabic: "The new narrative that the Zionists are pushing accuses Hamas of rape cases against Jewish women on October 7 and torturing Jews, and it’s all lies upon lies, and the Americans are going along with them and supporting them just to justify to the world the crimes they’re committing in Gaza, but the sun can’t be covered with a sieve."
On October 7, 2023, Hamas raped both women and men. Some were raped and murdered or mutilated. Hamas terrorists said they were given explicit orders to carry out those atrocities on both live victims and corpses.
Denial of the Hamas war crimes of October 7, 2023, among anti-Israel activists has been likened to Holocaust denial among neo-Nazis.
On October 12, 2024, Ramadan posted on X a link to a campaign calling for a street in Johannesburg, South Africa, to be renamed as "Leila Khaled Drive."
Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
The campaign included template text that said: "I write to formally express my strong support for the proposal to rename Sandton Drive in honour of Palestinian activist and political leader Leila Khaled. Leila Khaled has become an international symbol of resistance and the struggle for freedom..."
On January 18, 2025, Ramadan posted on X: "I just wrote a @theactionnet letter: Tell writer Lisa Genova to hold off her event at Indigo. Write one here:..."
His post linked to a letter campaign calling on the author to cancel book signings at Indigo stores because "By using her profits to support Israeli soldiers, [Indigo CEO] Heather Reisman makes authors and customers unwittingly complicit in the genocide of Palestinians."
On December 26, 2024, Ramadan was featured in a video posted on X, participating in a protest outside an Indigo bookstore.
In November 2023, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, 11 anti-Israel activists were arrested after vandalizing a branch of the Indigo bookstore in Toronto, Ontario, defacing the building with red paint and plastering posters accusing the chain's Jewish founder and pro-Israel philanthropist, Heather Reisman, of "funding genocide."
Police charged the suspects with "hate-motivated mischief," ,"conspiracy to commit an indictable offence" and "criminal harassment," reporting that they “engaged in threatening conduct that caused a person to reasonably fear for their personal safety.”
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
