As of February 2025, Aleem Ahmed was listed on the Temple University (Temple) website as studying for a bachelor's degree in history and biology, slated to graduate in 2024.
As of the same date, Aleem Ahmed was listed online as a 2023-24 executive board member and the Islamic education chair for Temple's chapter of the anti-Israel campus group, the Muslim Student Association (MSA).
On October 25, 2023, SJP Temple held an anti-Israel protest on the Temple campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
SJP Temple's Instagram post promoting the event accused Israel of "ethnic cleansing and genocide," along with a graphic that said: "We Will Be Walking Out Of Classes On 10/25 In Protest To The Ethnic Cleansing Of Palestinians In Gaza & To Stand In Solidarity With Palestine."
