Vijay Iyer

Vijay Iyer is a professor who has expressed support for terrorism, honored a pro-terror activist, spread antisemitism, and promoted hatred of Israel.

Iyer has also engaged in anti-Israel activism, including signing a letter that endorsed the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and showed support for pro-terror campus encampments.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

Iyer is a founding member of the Harvard University (Harvard) chapter of the anti-Israel group, Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine (FSJP), known as Harvard FSJP.

In January 2026, the Pulitzer Prize Administrator’s Office announced that Iyer was elected to the 2026 Pulitzer Prize Board.

As of May 2026, Iyer was listed as a professor in the Department of African and African American Studies at Harvard, where he was listed as the "Franklin D. and Florence Rosenblatt Professor of the Arts" and a "Graduate Advisor in Creative Practice and Critical Inquiry (CPCI)." Harvard is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
