Sarah Erickson

Sarah Erickson [Sarah E. Erickson] signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

The May 8, 2024 letter Sarah Erickson signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

On November 1, 2023, just three weeks after Hamas's terror attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023, Sarah Erickson posted on Instagram: "Happening today at Trinity. Come and learn from some of my incredible colleagues PS."PS is the abbreviation for "Palestine." The post included a flyer for a "TEACH-IN ON PALESTINE" sponsored by the Muslim Student Association. Speakers included Judith Norman.

As of June 2026, Sarah Erickson's X username was: "Dr Sarah E. Erickson 🍉."

The watermelon has been appropriated by anti-Israel activists as a symbol of Palestinian "resistance" to "Israeli occupation," as it shares the Pan-Arab colors. It has been depicted in art, used on flags at protests and posted online. It gained popularity following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023.

Also as of June 2026, Sarah Erickson was listed as an associate professor of communication at Trinity University (Trinity). Trinity is located in San Antonio, Texas.
