Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theory

On February 26, 2016, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “Retweeted HarleySouthD (@womonofwords): we must dismantle patriarchy! specifically jewish patriarchy offending muslims &controlling our economy & campuses! @DocMellyMel @benshapiro.”

On the same day, Abdullah tweeted: “@womonofwords @CSULABSU Thank you sis. #Solidarity” in response to a @womonofwords tweet that said: “... more & more jews invading campuses, causing islamophobia, racism, &intolerance!”

Abdullah wrote her posts in response to a speech that Jewish conservative political commentator, Ben Shapiro, gave at CSU-LA.

On the same day, @womonofwords, who went by the name “HarleySouthD,” reportedly tweeted multiple anti-Semitic messages to Abdullah, including: “yes! i hate to see hate-filled jews invading your campus, protocols of elders of zion being fulfilled as we watch @DocMellyMel @CSULABSU.”

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is an anti-Semitic fabricated text that depicts wealthy Jews conspiring to take over the world.

Promoting Bigotry

On November 26, 2015, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “I know #BlackFriday sales r calling…It's part of a plan 2 kp us enslaved. R Ancestors calls r louder…DON'T SHOP W WT BUSINESSES! #BlackXmas.”

Idolizing a Domestic Terrorist

As of August 2020, Abdullah has shown support for domestic terrorist Assata Shakur at least 30 times on social media.

Assata Shakur was convicted of killing a New Jersey state trooper and wounding another in 1973 while a member of the Black Liberation Army (BLA). She escaped from prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba in 1984, where she resides today. She is listed on the FBI Most Wanted Terror List under her legal name, Joanne Deborah Chesimard.

On February 9, 2020, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “Thank you Mama Assata for your wisdom, your sacrifice, your vision, and your model. #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackLivesMatter.” The post featured a BLM-LA graphic with a Shakur quote that began: “‘No one is going to give you the education you need to overthrow them.”

On January 25, 2016, Abdullah shared to Facebook a meme that said: “This is Assata.Assata saw that the U.S. empire was built on racism and greed. Assata joined the Black Liberation Army and fought back. Assata got arrested, but escaped from prison and fled to Cuba. Assata is smart. Be like Assata.”

The BLA was a violent “Nationalist/Separatist” group with the stated goal to “take up arms for the liberation and self-determination of black people in the United States.” The group was active from 1970 to 1981 and its members were involved in bank robberies, the murder of police officers and other crimes.

Honoring Violent Activists

As of August 2020, Abdullah had shown support for BLA member Mutulu Shakur at least 19 times on social media. Below are some examples.

On August 8, 2020, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “Today marks the 70th birthday of Dr. Mutulu Shakur, member of the Revolutionary Action Movement, founding member of the Republic of New Afrika, and freedom fighter with the Black Liberation Army.”

Mutulu Shakur, brother of Assata Shakur, was a Black Liberation Army (BLA) member convicted for his involvement in a 1981 Brinks robbery where two police officers and one Brinks security guard were murdered. He was also involved in the 1979 prison break of his sister and fellow BLA member Assata, who was jailed for the murder of a police officer in 1973.

On October 15, 2017, Abdullah wrote on Facebook in support of BLA member Sundiata Acoli.

Sundiata Acoli was convicted of killing a New Jersey State trooper and wounding another in 1973. One of Acoli’s accomplices was fellow Black Liberation Army (BLA) member Assata Shakur.

From February 7-11, 2016, Abdullah posted on Facebook six times about two events featuring Sekou Odinga, who was convicted for his role in Assata Shakur’s prison break. One of the events was hosted by the CSU-LA Pan-African Studies Department.

Demonizing Israel

On March 5, 2019, Abdullah tweeted: “Criticism of the state of Israel for their murderous policies and challenging U.S. electeds to consider their allegiances is not anti-Semitism. With you @IlhanMN!”

Abdullah’s tweet defended Congresswoman Ilhan Omar saying [00:04:08] in February 2019: “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country,” referring to Israel.

On December 3, 2018, Abdullah tweeted that Israel “murders and terrorizes the Palestinian people.”

On May 16, 2018, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “Retweeted Black Lives Matter (@Blklivesmatter): The world is watching and a shift is happening as the people of Palestine continue to resist against violence and oppression. As Black folks fighting against state violence and for our lives, we condemn this violence.”

In May 2018, terror group Hamas instigated violent riots on the Israeli-Gaza border. Thousands of rioters attempted to breach Israel’s border fence, declaring their intention to harm Jews across the border under the pretext of “peaceful resistance.”

On May 16, 2018, a Hamas senior official, Salah al-Bardawil, stated that 50 out of 62 protesters killed during the May 14 Gaza border protest were Hamas operatives. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also claimed that three of its members were killed at the same protest.

On January 22, 2018, Abdullah shared to Facebook a video of her daughter reading from the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) platform at a Women’s March rally held two days earlier, in front of an estimated 600,000 people.

Abdullah’s daughter quoted the platform which accused [00:00:33] Israel of “genocide,” claimed [00:00:52] that Israel is an “apartheid state” and opposed legislation against the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, which she said [00:01:09] was part of “the movement to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine.”

On April 9, 2016, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “‘Our oppressors are the same; therefore our liberation must be linked." @Umiselah on Black ppl & #Palestine #kinship2016.”

On January 9, 2016, Abdullah wrote a Facebook post against “White-supremacist-patriarchal-heteronormative-capitalism.” In the comments, she liked a comment that said: “This form of capitalism is created by a system that enforces uneven development (exploitation based) otherwise known as internal colonialism. Other similar systems include apartheid, nazism, and zionism.”

Abdullah liked a November 29, 2015 Facebook comment that said: “Palestinians have learned from our brothers and sisters in South Africans. We have chosen to BDS anything that supports the 70 years+ of systemic Genocide and Occupation of Palestine.”

On August 3, 2014, Abdullah shared to Facebook an image during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE) against Hamas. The image showed an American hand shaking an Israeli hand, with blood coming out of their grasp. The image said: “US is COMPLICIT. Israel almost had to stop the killing, US sends more Ammo.”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

On August 2, 2014, Abdullah tweeted: “OUR tax $ fund Israel to the tune of another $225m.What will WE do to stop the massacre??? #FreePalestine.”

Spreading Hatred of America

On July 27, 2015, Abdullah tweeted: “‘The KKK, the police, and [United Staes] government officials are one in the same.’ #BLMFreedomRide @BLMLA.”

Abdullah liked a September 27, 2015 Facebook comment that said: “DISARM AND DISBAND THE POLICE IN AMERIKKKA!”

The term “Amerikkka” uses the initials of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a way to demonize America as “fascist or racist.”

On January 20, 2016, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “‘@barackobama as president is like having a Black overseer of the plantation.’ #ChokweLumumba @BabaAk.”

On May 13, 2020, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “The US doesn’t just have a history of White-supremacy, it is CURRENTLY a violent-White-supremacist nation.”

In the comments, someone said: “Amerikkka is like a slave ship we can’t get off ... where is the f’in exit ? if we can’t get off it, can we take it ?” Abdullah then responded: “Amistad this mofo!” The Amistad mutiny was a slave ship rebellion in 1839 where 53 slaves killed two crew members, including the captain.

On August 14, 2020, Abdullah wrote on Facebook: “Let's be clear about what this is. We are knocking down White-supremacist-patriarchal-heteronormative-capitalism. In no uncertain terms, we are seeking to destroy it.”

Anti-Israel Activism

On October 2, 2018, Abdullah posted to Facebook an image promoting an event at the University of Houston, where she was scheduled to speak, titled: “Anti-Blackness and the Palestinian Struggle.” The event was co-sponsored by the SJP chapter at UH.

On April 29, 2018, Abdullah posted to Facebook about “BLMLA Actions/Events (4/29-5/6).” One event was called, “Divest from War, Invest in People – War Tax Resistance,” which is a pro-BDS campaign. Speakers included Abdullah and Paula Kahn, a “Bay Area BDS activist” with JVP and CODEPINK.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
