Irene Siegel

Irene Siegel was arrested for disrupting a Senate hearing in October 2023. She has also expressed support for terrorism and engaged in anti-Israel activism.

The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas.

As of June 2026, Siegel was listed as an organizer with anti-Israel groups, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Jews For Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ).

Irene Siegel signed a May 2026 letter that demonized the Jewish student group Hillel and its members, spread hatred of Israel, and promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement at The New School (TNS) in New York, New York.

Hillel International is a Jewish campus organization serving college students at 850 universities worldwide.

The letter Irene Siegel signed [no. 156] claimed that Hillel at TNS and its members aided Israel in an alleged “genocide” in its war against Hamas, and that The New School should cut all funding for Hillel at TNS.

The letter used the terms “Israel Occupation Forces” and “IOF” in place of the Israeli army's real name, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). "IOF" is used to allege that Israel’s existence is illegitimate by accusing Israeli Jews of occupying and colonizing the entire land.

As of June 2026, Irene Siegel was listed as an adjunct assistant professor of Arabic studies at Hunter College (Hunter). Hunter is part of the City University of New York (CUNY) and is located in New York, New York.

As of the same date, Siegel's LinkedIn said she was an educator for Kolot Chayeinu, as well as for The Workers Circle, teaching "social justice to pre-school through 7th graders. Helping to develop a developmentally gradated curriculum on Palestine/Israel for our students."
