Hana Masri

On May 26, 2024, BreakThrough News uploaded a video to YouTube featuring Masri speaking at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Michigan, where she called for America’s and Israel’s destruction.

The conference was co-organized by PYM and was held during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, launched after Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

In her speech, Masri said [00:29:02]: “...because we are here in the belly of the insatiable, imperial beast, we know that we have a very particular role to play in the struggle for Palestinian liberation, and for all people's freedom from the cruelty of the colonialist capitalist world order that our government is so directly responsible for.”

Masri then said [00:30:32]: “...we are in joint struggle because we see clearly the connections between the material conditions that impact us here in this settler colonial state, and that oppress others around the world...”

Later, Masri added [01:35:24]: “We therefore have a responsibility to shepherd the energy of this moment of individual transformation into the longer-term mass organizing that will bring the empire to its knees not only in Palestine, but across the world.”
