Zaynab Musleh
Overview
Zaynab Musleh has spread hatred of Zionists and Israelis, as well as demonized Israel and Zionism. She is also a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.In May 2021, Musleh was affiliated with the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
As of November 2021, Musleh indicated that she attended college and was studying “mass communications / broadcasting + international business.”
In November 2020, Musleh indicated on Twitter that she owned a jewelry business called Ethereal Jewels.
As of January 2022, Musleh used the handle “kmzzayn” and the screen name “not zaynab”. She also indicated in her Twitter bio that she was located in Florida.
Hatred of Zionists and Israelis
On May 19, 2021, Musleh tweeted: “zionists are heavily brainwashed so it’s almost impossible for you to even get your points (which are factual) across when arguing with them so it’s better to just literally ignore them because the majority of them are a helpless case and we shouldn’t waste our energy.”In the same thread, Musleh continued: “you’d get more from arguing with a wall than a zionist.”
On May 13, 2021, Musleh tweeted: “...what is going on in palestine just shows how those mfs [motherf**kers] were evil and disgusting from the start and still are.”
On May 12, 2021, Musleh tweeted: “Gal Gadot turning of her comments just shows how much of a coward she is and all israeli people are because they can’t even handle the truth and want to silence palestinians.”
Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress who starred in the Hollywood movie Wonder Woman.
Demonizing Israel and Zionism
On May 8, 2021, during Israel’s “Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW)” against Hamas in Gaza, Musleh tweeted: “...you’d have to be mentally f**ked or just racist if you choose to side with israel...”In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Musleh retweeted a June 28, 2021 tweet that included a video of Stokely Carmichael (Kwame Ture) “giving historical context on Zionism.” In the video, Ture claimed [00:01:18] that Zionism “is a satanic movement, it is devil, it is imperialism it is racist…and through terrorism maintains its power.”
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.
Musleh retweeted a July 29, 2021 tweet from anti-Israel agitator El-Kurd that read: “Zionism is a death cult. This statement should not spark outrage. What should is the fact of a Zionist killing a Palestinian every three days. Enough.”
Supporting BDS
On July 2, 2021, Musleh tweeted: “the only heartbreak i’ve experienced this year was cinnabon being BDS.”On May 30, 2021, Musleh tweeted: “you guys complaining about boycotting starbucks and mcdonalds meanwhile I used to eat a pack of oreos at least once a day if not more and I need to find a good replacement cookie.”
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
