Zaqui Saiyed participated in an anti-Israel event in San Jose, California, in January 2024.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of July 2025, Zaqui Saiyed’s LinkedIn profile said he had worked as a part-time behavioral therapist at ACES (Comprehensive Educational Services) in Mountain View, California, from February 2025 through July 2025.

As of February 2026, Zaqui Saiyed's Facebook page said he was from Ahmedabad, India.

The Instagram post promoting the event began: "NO SHOPPING WHILE BOMBS ARE DROPPING...When Gaza called Yemen answered, halting the flow of commerce in an incredible act of principled solidarity."

Following the outbreak of Israel’s 2023 war against Hamas, Houthi terrorists attacked commercial ships off Yemen’s Red Sea coast and launched missiles into southern Israel. Like Hamas, the Houthi movement is backed by Iran, and is designated as a terror group by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

The Houthi slogan reads: “God is the Greatest / Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse Upon the Jews / Victory to Islam.”

The Instagram post promoting the event also accused Israel of "genocide" in its war against Hamas and further said: "We stand in solidarity with Yemen and must come together in the global fight for liberation." The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
