Zaid Ahmed [Zaid S. Ahmed] has expressed support for terrorists, mocked a terror victim, and spread hatred of Israel and America.Ahmed is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In January 2022, Ahmed expressed solidarity with Yasmeen Mashayekh, a graduate student at the University of Southern California (USC) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator who tweeted her desire to “kill every motherf**king Zionist.”
As of March 2023, Ahmed’s LinkedIn page said he was pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Wilmington University. In January 2022, his LinkedIn said he was slated to graduate from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2022.
Also as of March 2023, Ahmed’s LinkedIn page said he had been a “Crew Member” at Dunkin Donuts in Newark, Delaware, since May 2021. Also as of the same date, Ahmed’s Behance profile said he worked as a photographer.
In January 2022, Ahmed went by the username “sampha fan account” and the handle “@dntperceive1312” on Twitter.As of March 2023, Ahmed used the handle “@_zaid.a” on Instagram.
Support for Terrorists (Hamas, Hezbollah, PIJ, PFLP, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade)
As of January 19, 2022, Ahmed’s Twitter background photo featured four masked, armed terrorists, each wearing headbands of a different Palestinian terror group.The groups were Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade. The U.S. State Department lists all four as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). They have all carried out attacks on Israeli civilians for decades, including suicide bombings during the second intifada.
On January 19, 2022, Ahmed tweeted: “Inshallah [With God’s help] rockets will rain on ‘Tel Aviv’. It’s the only deterrence to the occupations’ crimes.”
On January 18, 2022, Ahmed tweeted: “Does anyone have that hezbollah fancam ? These zionists need to be put in their place and reminded what happens when they mess with a formally trained army and not a group that’s been blockaded for 14 years.”
Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.
On January 12, 2022, Ahmed tweeted: “Abu Obeida and Hamas fancam
.”Abu Obeida is the official spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades — the armed wing of Hamas.
On January 1, 2022, Ahmed posted a video clip to Twitter of Hamas members marching in the streets and featured the caption “ ابو عبيدة في الحارة” [Abu Obeida in the hood].” Ahmed wrote: “Soon Inshallah [With God’s help soon].”
Ahmed retweeted a December 26, 2021 tweet that read: “Yesterday marked 13 years since Ahmad Sa’adat - Secretary-General of the PFLP - was sentenced to 30 years in prison by the Zionist occupiers. He is one of many revolutionary leaders that have been stolen from us by the colonizers and imperialists.”
Ahmad Sa’adat, Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), is in an Israeli prison for terror activities, including his role in the 2001 assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi.
On December 22, 2021, Ahmed tweeted a photo of Leila Khaled with the text that read: “If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death.” Ahmed wrote: “Leila Khaled said it best.”
Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
On December 16, 2021, Ahmed tweeted: “The fall of the occupation is really inevitable and that day is soon, Inshallah [with God’s help], at the hands of the resistance.”
On December 11, 2021, Ahmed tweeted: “I’m still thinking about this. People from Beita chanting for Mohammed Deif, the leader of the Al Qassam Brigade of Hamas, and calling for armed struggle. Long live Hamas and all the resistance factions !!

.”Deif became the military commander of Hamas’ Al Qassam brigades in 2002.
On December 4, 2021, Ahmed tweeted: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun [We belong to God and we return to God]. I hope Muhammad Salima, and every martyr for Palestine, are at peace in Jannah [Paradise]. Something they weren’t afforded in this life because the occupation effects every part of Palestinians’ lives.”
On December 4, 2021, 25-year-old Muhammad Salima stabbed [00:00:09] an unarmed Jewish man in Jerusalem’s Old City. Salima then attacked [00:00:19] both of the responding police officers and was shot dead by Israeli border police..
On November 19, 2021, Ahmed shared a video to Twitter of a young girl shaking the hands of Hamas militants and wrote: “Putting this wholesome video back on the tl. Jummah Mubarak [Happy Friday] and long live Hamas and the Palestinian resistance !!”
Ahmed retweeted a November 19, 2021 tweet that read: “Today marks the 86th anniversary for the martyrdom of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam… With his death was born The Izz-Id-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, our forever beloved freedom fighters.”
On September 14, 2021, Ahmed wrote an article titled: “Abolition Now,” which discussed the six convicted Palestinian terrorists who escaped from Israel’s Gilboa Prison that month. Ahmed wrote in his article: “This event has inspired Palestinians, and their allies, all across the globe to reimagine what could be.”
On September 6, 2021, six Palestinian prisoners escaped from the maximum-security Gilboa Prison in Israel. The escaped prisoners were convicted members of the terror organizations Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, who were jailed for their involvement in attacks carried out during the second intifada. All were recaptured by September 19, 2021, by Israeli authorities.
On September 30, 2021, Ahmed responded to a tweet that asked: “What should my frost revolutionary/communist poster be?...” Ahmed wrote back: “Che Guevara and George habash.”
George Habash, who has been called“the godfather of Middle East terrorism,” founded the terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1970, Habash was the mastermind behind the hijacking of four Western airliners known as the Dawson Field hijackings. In 1972, the PFLP collaborated with Japanese Red Army terrorists to massacre 24 people at Israel's Lod International Airport (renamed Ben Gurion International Airport).
Ahmed retweeted a September 8, 2021 tweet that read: “#Breaking | Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, armed wing of the PFLP, says it will not stand idly by as the Israeli occupation forces continue their crackdown on the Palestinian political prisoners inside the Israeli jails. #GilboaPrisonBreak.#FreeThemAll.”
Ahmed retweeted an August 27, 2021 tweet that read: “‘We come to resist, not to compromise.’ - Abu Ali Mustafa.”
Abu Ali Mustafa, also known as Mustafa Zibri, was the Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Mustafa was involved in multiple bomb attacks, including in central Jerusalem, when he was the terror group's Secretary General.
On August 14, 2021, Ahmed tweeted: “always thinking about ghassan kanafani
.”Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.
On May 22, 2021, Ahmed tweeted: “Can we talk about how revolutionary this picture is? Ghassan Kanafani’s office having posters of Marx, Lenin, Che, and George Habash !”
On May 11, 2021, during OGW, violent Arab riots broke out in Lod, an Israeli city with a large Arab population. The rioters in Lod reportedly raised Hamas and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags and attacked Israeli civilians with slabs and rocks, as well as firebombs and metal rods. Rioters also torched synagogues, cars and businesses, and vandalized hospital medical equipment, schools and government buildings.
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Ahmed retweeted a September 28, 2020 tweet that read: “20 years ago today, my people started the second Intifada, which lasted for 4 and a half years, resulting in the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Glory to the violent popular resistance.”
The second intifada (2000-2005) was characterized by more than 120 suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians on buses and in cafes.
Mocking a Terror Victim
On November 21, 2021, Ahmed tweeted a photo of slain terror victim Eli Kay and wrote: “Afrikaner and Israeli settler both. This man really loved apartheid
.”On November 21, 2021, Eliyahu David Kay, a 25-year-old Israeli civilian and tour guide,was killed by a Hamas gunman, Fadi Abu Shkhaidem, who opened fire near the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Kay was an immigrant from South Africa who had served in the Israeli army. One civilian and two policemen were also injured from the shooting.
Hatred of Israel and America
On January 16, 2022, Ahmed tweeted: “A settler state, like USA, Israel, Canada, etc don’t have a right to exist.”On December 16, 2021, Ahmed tweeted about Israel: “An apartheid, settler state has no chance of surviving, and we’ll see its fall soon. Just like the American empire will also fall soon.”
Solidarity with Yasmeen Mashayekh
In January 2022, Ahmed tweeted in support of Mashayekh who was [00:11:08] in the middle of a national controversy over anti-Semitism she spread on social media that year, urging Mashayekh to “keep up the good fight.”In October 2021, Mashayekh was listed as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator for USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering (Viterbi). In May 2021, she tweeted: “I want to f**king kill every motherf**king Zionist.” She also tweeted: “yel3an el yahood [curse the Jews]
.”Mashayekh has also spread violent hatred of Israeli Jews, called for the destruction of Israel and America, expressed support for Hamas and glorified terrorists.
Mashayekh was condemned after Canary Mission exposed her anti-Semitic tweets.
On January 13, 2022, Ahmed responded to a tweet from Mashayekh and wrote: “Haha thanks, keep up the good fight ! The Zionist lobby can have all the power it wants, in the end the Palestinian people will win inshallah [With God’s help].”
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
