Justifying Hamas Terrorism Against Israeli Civilians
On December 21, 2023, Rafeeqi’s pro-Hamas Instagram post about October 7 was featured [image 2] in a Washington Free Beacon article.A screenshot of Rafeeqi’s undated Instagram stories post showed Hamas terrorists standing on top of an Israeli tank on the day they invaded Israel. The photo was captioned: “No more condemning Palestinian resistance. / Radical change requires radical moves.”
Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” can be a euphemism for nationalistic terror. It is often used to excuse or even glorify anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.
One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is by claiming that Israeli Jews have no connection to the Land of Israel.
Hatred of Israel during a Hamas War
As of January 15, 2024, Rafeeqi’s Instagram bio featured a link to the Decolonize Palestine website.Decolonize Palestine is a website run by terror supporter Rawan Eid and aimed at anti-Israel organizers. Decolonize Palestine shows support for terrorists, promotes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and spreads hatred of Israel and Zionism. The website also advocates for the “right of return,” a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel, and promotes the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Rafeeqi was also the president of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) during her academic years in 2020-2023 at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), in Cleveland, Ohio.
MSA
The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."
The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.
The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
