Hatred of Israel

On April 22, 2021, Badie tweeted: “f**k israel.”

On August 11, 2020, Badie tweeted: “anyways, f**k Israel.”

On August 4, 2020, Badie tweeted: “get this zionist s**t off my TL [Timeline] @Twitter.”

Badie’s tweet was responding to a tweet by Sodastream, an Israel-based manufacturing company that has been targeted by the BDS campaigns.

In February 2016, 500 Palestinians lost their jobs when Sodastream moved its factory from the West Bank to southern Israel. Although the company denied that BDS had an impact on the decision, the BDS movement took credit for the factory’s relocation.

On June 23, 2020, Badie tweeted: “abolish israel.”

On April 29, 2020, Badie tweeted: “maybe instead of tweeting about celebrating a day that marks the ethnic cleansing of 700,000 Palestinians, you can actually take responsibility for your anti-semitic tweets.”

Badie’s tweet was responding to a tweet by then New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio recognizing Israel and the Jews’ “perseverance in the face of adversity, hatred and evil” as an “inspiration” directed to those who celebrate Israel’s Independence day.

On January 24, 2019, Badie tweeted: “Don’t forget Israel🤗” in response to another tweet that read: “#America is the only place I know that literally bombs other countries on the reg, then call them terrorists.”

On May 14, 2018, Badie tweeted: “...the trumps are celebrating the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem while Israelis are ruthlessly murdering peaceful Palestinian protesters🇵🇸.”

Badie’s tweet referred to 62 protesters that were killed that same day during violent riots, instigated by Hamas on the Israeli-Gaza border.

On May 16, 2018, a Hamas senior official, Salah al-Bardawil, stated that 50 out of 62 protesters killed during the May 14 Gaza border protest were Hamas operatives. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also claimed that three of its members were killed at the same protest.

On May 14, 2018, Badie also tweeted: “f**k israel.”

On February 27, 2018, Badie tweeted: “I would argue the opposite lol...if you’re pro Israel you’re pro genocide of Palestinian people.”

On February 10, 2018, Badie tweeted: “I honestly think I have a physical response when I hear the word ‘israel.’”

On September 9, 2016, Badie tweeted: “Speaking of ethnic cleansing.” Badie’s tweet was responding to a video by then-Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who pointed out [00:00:27] that the Palestinian leadership demanded a future Palestinian state with “No Jews” and Netanyahu called [00:00:37] that demand “ethnic cleansing.”

Badie’s tweet featured a graphic with a caption that read: “The Jewish Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine” accompanied by a series of maps.

The maps claim that lands once controlled by Britain, Egypt and Jordan as autonomous “Palestinian land” were purportedly stolen by Israel. In February 2016, publisher McGraw-Hill Education recalled copies of a college textbook containing the fraudulent maps. In October 2015, American cable news network MSNBC apologized for airing a similar series of maps and retracted them.

Hatred of America

On January 20, 2021, Badie tweeted: “abolish america.”

On January 6, 2021, Badie tweeted: “honestly what will it take for you all to hate amerikkka lol.”

The term “Amerikkka” uses the initials of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a way to demonize America as “fascist or racist.”

On August 19, 2020, Badie tweeted: “f**k israel & f**k joe biden.”

Badie added to the thread saying that her tweet was “...in reference to the biden campaign condemning Linda Sarsour.”

Then-U.S. presidential candidate Joe Biden distanced his campaign from former Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, after she addressed Democratic National Convention delegates during one of the conference’s virtual assemblies.

Anti-Israel agitator Linda Sarsour frequently uses the word “Zionist” as a pejorative and has tweeted that “nothing is creepier than Zionism.” She has aligned with noted anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, dismissed [00:07:45] those who see her alignment with Farrakhan as problematic and slammed the “Jewish Media” for calling attention to it.

On June 26, 2020, invoking the “Deadly Exchange” campaign, Badie tweeted: “friendly reminder that our taxes fund trips for U.S. police to Israel to be trained on how to kill Black & brown people.”

Badie’s tweet linked to an article titled: “U.S. Police are Being Trained by Israel—And Communities of Color Are Paying the Price” co-written by Ilise Benshushan Cohen an Atlanta Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) chapter co-founder.

In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange” campaign that accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses.

JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S."

The video accused mainstream Jewish organizations in the United States of coordinating exchange programs between American and Israeli security personnel, to advance “worst practices” and “racist policies.”

The campaign page claimed that these “policies” included: “extrajudicial executions, shoot-to-kill policies, police murders, racial profiling, massive spying and surveillance, deportation and detention.”

On July 4, 2020, Badie tweeted: “the american flag is racist.”

Badie retweeted a June 19, 2020 tweet that read: “happy Juneteenth, Lincoln was antiBlack, the slaves freed themselves, and america should not exist.”

On June 17, 2020, Badie tweeted: “...ultimately as long as the United States exists, it will be a racist occupation.”

Badie retweeted a June 16, 2020 tweet, that read: “PSA [Public Service Announcement]: you're not anti-racist if you're pro-America.”

On January 5, 2020, Badie tweeted: “reminder that the US created ISIS.”

Supporting a Terrorist

On July 21, 2020, Badie tweeted: “The Israeli military murdered Ahmed Erekat & is holding his body hostage. The Israeli government is refusing to return him to his family unless they promise not to bring a legal case against the Israeli soldier who murdered their boy. #BringAhmadHome.”

Ahmad Erekat [Ahmad Moustafa Erekat; Ahmed Erakat] was killed by Israeli security forces after he accelerated and rammed his car into soldiers at a checkpoint. One female soldier was injured. The incident was captured on video.

Anti-Israel Activism

On May 21, 2020, Badie tweeted: “In a non-COVID world, we'd be traveling to Palestine next week. Instead, the next best thing: a web-series! Join us on zoom to learn from Palestinian activists about criminal defense, settlement & demolition resistance, art & music, & discussion of @4noura book #JusticeforSome.”

Badie’s tweet featured a flyer promoting a “PALESTINE Webinar Series” presented by NYU Law SJP, scheduled for May 25-28, 2020.

On May 25, 2020, Badie added to the same thread: “today at 2PM EST is our first session! join us on zoom ^ to hear from Youth Against Settlements. @YASHebron seeks to end the building and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements through non-violent struggle and civil resistance.”

Youth Against Settlements (YAS) is an anti-Israel NGO based in Hebron that has posted photos on its Facebook page promoting anti-Semitism, lauding rock-throwing and urging its members to participate in violent anti-Israel demonstrations.

Violent agitator Issa Amro, the head of the YAS movement, is known for vandalism and attacking Israeli soldiers in Hebron. Amro has been charged with numerous acts of violence against Israeli civilians and security forces.

On May 26, 2020, Badie added again to the same thread: “day 2 starting in ~40 minutes!”

The flyer Badie tweeted on May 21, 2021 listed on the second day of the webinar series a session with the anti-Israel Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU).

The flyer also listed on the third day of the webinar series a session titled “Addameer Prisoner Support and & Human Rights.”

Addameer is an NGO that advocates on behalf of prisoners held in Israeli jail, including many terrorists such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) recruiters Mohammad Allan and Khader Adnan. Addameer’s senior leadership includes [pp. 29-35] senior Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorists like Khalida Jarrar, whom Addameer also advocates for. In 2021, Israel officially designated Addameer as a terror organization.

Supporting BDS

On April 24, 2020, Badie tweeted: “ramadan mobarak ♥️remember to boycott Israeli dates.”

Badie’s tweet featured a flyer produced by Within Our Lifetime (WOL), formerly known as New York City SJP, that said: “THIS RAMADAN, DON’T BREAK YOUR FAST WITH ZIONISM! AVOID THESE BRANDS:”

The WOL flyer listed companies that allegedly sold Israeli dates.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
