Overview

Yazan Abushanab has praised Hitler, expressed support for the terror group Hamas and spread hatred of Israel on Twitter.

As of June 2018, Abushanab’s Facebook page said that he “studied” at Glendale Community College (GCC).

Praising Hitler

On July 26, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “@AhmadShaneepi I love hitler.”

Supporting Hamas

On August 7, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “Hamas is fighting back! Kick some Israeli a**!!!!”

On July 23, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “I don't get why people are saying Hamas is using children as human shields. That is BS. Israel is just making an excuse to not look bad.”

On July 20, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “Israel claims they aren't purposely killing civilians because the Hamas are apparently using them as human shield. That's complete bulls**t😒”

Throughout the summer of 2014 — during Operation Protective Edge (OPE) — Hamas's deployment of human shields was extensively documented and publicized. Hamas encouraged Gazans to act as human shields to frustrate Israeli efforts to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza.

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On March 30, 2018, Abushanab tweeted: “F**K Israel.”

On July 26, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “@Israel F**K YOU B**CHES. SUCK MY D**K. I hope all you Israelis burn in hell😊” His tweet was in response to a July 25, 2014 tweet from the The State of Israel's official twitter channel, that read: To all our friends around the world, #ShabbatShalom & a safe weekend to you & to Israelis living under threat of rockets fired from #Gaza.”

On July 20, 2014, on the day of the capture of Israeli soldier Oron Shaul, Abushanab tweeted: “The Palestine has an Israel soldier imprisoned. F**k. Yes.👌”

Shaul was caught in a deadly ambush in Shejaiya, Gaza, by Hamas terrorists during Operation Protective Edge (OPE). Hamas celebrated the capture of Shaul and even produced a song. The IDF later determined that Shaul was dead and that his body was held by Hamas.

On July 19, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Abushanab tweeted: “All Israeli soldiers will be punished by god. #SavePalestine.”

Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

Also on July 19, 2014, Abushanab tweeted: “That Jew Jew lame s**t I ain't with it, Israel you better quit it. Gaza-za #FreePalestine.”

Abushanab retweeted a tweet from July 29, 2017 that read: “Israel is doing to Palestinians what Hitler did to Jewish people.”

Abushanab retweeted a tweet from September 2, 2014, that read: “During her time in the IDF, Israel carried out war crimes in Lebanon and Gaza, but yay Wonder Woman, you stupid asshole.”

Abushanab’s tweet was referring to Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who portrayed the DC Comics character Wonder Woman in a 2017 American superhero film.
