On March 5, 2025, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, Eke-Okoro was featured in a video where social media influencer Zach Sage asked Columbia students about their views on Hamas' October 7, 2023, terror attacks.
During the interview, Eke-Okoro told Sage [00:00:34]: "I think terrorism is one of those words that people haven't actually thought about the meaning."
Sage then asked [00:00:37]: "Like, there is nuance in terrorism?" to which Eke-Okoro replied [00:00:39]: "Yeah! Like, there is nuance in terrorism."
Sage then told [00:02:22] Eke-Okoro: "There were rapes of the Jews on 10/7" to which Eke-Okoro replied: "I mean, I don't know!"
Sage then asked Eke-Okoro [00:02:25]: "Can rape be justified, though, even, like, if it really is for resistance?"
Eke-Okoro replied: "If you're fighting with a decolonial entity, yeah...There is nuance."
Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
Denial of the Hamas war crimes of October 7, 2023, among anti-Israel activists has been likened to Holocaust denial among neo-Nazis.
