Overview
Sumer Samara [Sumer Muawyah Samara] spread anti-Semitism, honored terrorists, expressed violent hatred of Israel and defended terrorism.Samara has also equated Israel to Nazi Germany, promoted hatred of Zionists, propagated anti-Israel conspiracy theories and spread hatred of Israel.
As of September 2020, Samara was located in Durham, North Carolina.
In June 2020, Samara tweeted that she was taking a Physics class. In 2019, she was reportedly studying at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT). On September 13, 2018, Samara tweeted that she was “majoring in Atmospheric science and meteorology.”
As of September 2020, Samara used the handle “bintlkalb” on Twitter.
Spreading Anti-Semitism
On October 2, 2020, Samara tweeted: “the fact that the fake concept of ‘jewish guilt’ is used as an aspect of comedy is so f**king wrong, and is downright insulting. if jewish guilt were real, we wouldn’t have israel.”On August 26, 2020, Samara tweeted: “f**k all the arab jews that migrated to israehell.”
On July 9, 2020, Samara tweeted: “city of new york forgot that they’re run by jews???? LMFAOOO.” Her tweet referred to a tweet by the City of New York that said: “No matter where you're from, if you live here, you're a New Yorker. We all count in the census.”
On June 19, 2020, Samara tweeted that Israel “is less than century old, is full of fake jews, stolen land and culture and commits atrocities and war crimes and genocides every f**king day since 1948.”
One way anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is by denying [00:17:45] Jewish history, with the aim of delegitimizing restored Jewish sovereignty, attacking Israel’s legitimacy and portraying Jews as foreign to the Land of Israel.
On April 8, 2020, Samara tweeted: “this is how the israeli government treats its own orthodox citizens who protest on behalf of the Palestinians. israehell is comprised of fake jews.” Her tweet linked to a tweet with a video of Israeli police using water cannons on ultra-Orthodox Jewish protesters.
On September 21, 2019, Samara tweeted: “i put a flagpole up outside my house in front of my yahood [Jew] neighbors too.” Samara’s tweet was in response to a thread by other Palestinian about displaying Palestinian flags.
On October 14, 2018, Samara tweeted: “... Jews are not native to the land. Muslims are not native to the land. Christians are not native to the land. The only Israelis native to the land are the stolen Arab children brainwashed into being Zionists.”
On July 8, 2018, Samara tweeted: “... The Jews hailing from Europe are converts. Literally all Israelis are not indigenous at all. You know who is?? Palestinians and other people living in and around that region.”
On December 29, 2017, Samara tweeted: “eternal? You’ve been there for a few decades, don’t get ahead of yourself you won’t be there for much longer. Palestinian people’s blood has been there since man has been there, Palestinians are the original Jews who never left the land. You are European and nothing will change.”
Samara’s tweet was in response to a tweet by Israeli-American politician, Michael Oren, that said, regarding U.S. President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital: “we’ll never forget Donald Trump who recognized our eternal, undivided capital.”
Honoring Terrorists
On December 8, 2019, Samara tweeted: “this is one of the 3 men in my family to have passed away last week. I honestly didn’t think he’d make the news bc of all the other ppl that are always dying at the hands of wlad’l kalb [sons of b**ches] israel. Allah yerhamak [let Allah have mercy upon you] Sami, inshallah this summer my family will be able to visit you finally.”Samara’s tweet referred to the death of Sami Abu Diak, who died of cancer in an Israeli hospital, while serving a prison sentence.
Abu Diak was serving three life sentences for charges including voluntary manslaughter, kidnapping and murder. He was also reportedly involved in the killing of three Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel and was linked to Fatah’s armed wing.
Samara retweeted a September 23, 2020 tweet that said: “Leila Khaled appreciation post:” and included photos and a mural of Khaled holding a knife and assault rifle.
Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
Violent Hatred of Israel
On September 18, 2020, Samara tweeted: “burn this b**ch. lynch her” referring to a tweet of a video where a woman said “we’re for Israel, not Palestine.”On September 20, 2019, Samara tweeted: “ALLL that money and look at how dirty their schools are LMFAOO isra*l f**ks over their own people too, just get rid of the whole state.”
On April 28, 2019, Samara tweeted: “Allah yil3an israel [May Allah curse Israel]” in response to a tweet that said: “what phrase should i learn how to say in arabic next.”
On June 24, 2018, Samara tweeted “Israel” in response to a tweet that asked: “if u had a death note who would u write down?”
Defending Terrorism
On August 17, 2020, Samara tweeted: “they kill palis like they’re rats but they wanna protest and cry over one dead soldier, who was only a soldier purely for the fun of shooting and killing palis. F**K y’all and your hoe soldiers.” Her tweet referred to a tweet that about a Palestinian who was shot dead in Jerusalem when he stabbed an Israeli police officerOn November 14, 2019, Samara tweeted: “Palestine has a right to defend itself against euro/russian terrorists that have illegally occupied their land for the last 70+ years.”
Samara’s tweet referred to a tweet by former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden in support of Israel’s right to defend itself against Palestinian rocket attacks.
Equating Israel to Nazi Germany
On October 29, 2018, Samara tweeted: “Reminds me of Nazis and Israelis.” Samara’s tweet referred to another tweet that said Brazilian military police raided universities and “interrupted classes due to 'ideological content', removed anti-fascist banners and posters.”The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.
On September 7, 2018, Samara tweeted: “They are literally nazis.” Her tweet referred to a Palestinian Information Center report that Israeli security guards prevented Palestinians from entering land to which they held no permit.
Promoting Hatred of Zionists
On September 26, 2020, Samara tweeted: “f**k her and f**k her . ya Allah may they both burn in hell.” Samara’s tweet referred to a tweet of movie posters featuring BDS-target Scarlett Johansson and Israeli actress Gal Gadot.On May 15, 2020, Samara tweeted: “bored, might start harassing zionists on twitter later.”
On November 2, 2019, Samara tweeted: “it’s funny how instantly turned off you get when you learn a prick is a zionist.”
On July 7, 2018, Samara tweeted: “Zionists love to claim that they are indigenous to the region, which they clearly aren’t.”
Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories
On August 4, 2020, Samara tweeted: “several hospitals? Isr*el is definitely behind this,” in reference to the 2020 explosion of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse at the Beirut port. At least 203 people died and 6,500 were injured.On August 12, 2018, Samara tweeted: “currently the ‘Jewish’ state of Israel’s deporting Africans & claiming they have no culture. There’s also rumors going around that they are mutilating the women so they can’t reproduce.”
On July 7, 2018, Samara tweeted: “ISIS was made by America and Israel.” Samara’s tweet was in response to another tweet that asked: “What's the craziest conspiracy theory you 100 percent believe is real?”
On December 17, 2017, Samara tweeted: “They literally killed almost all the Palestinian Jews, and are going after the Christians, so they can classify all Palestinians as ‘discriminatory against Jews and Christians’ when there’s no one but Muslims left.”
Spreading Hatred of Israel
Samara retweeted a September 14, 2020 tweet captioned: “My favourite video ever btw” with a video that showed footage of anti-Israel protesters and people burning and spitting on Israeli flags.On September 12, 2020, Samara tweeted: “it’s f**k isr*el until we die y’all. good f**kin night.”
Samara retweeted a September 11, 2020 tweet that said: “having colored eyes doesn’t make you pretty, and supporting the genocide of millions of palestinians is ugly as s**t. go sit down. The tweet referred to a video of Israeli women dancing that was captioned: “‘Israelis are ugly’ Meanwhile Israelis:”
On August 16, 2020, Samara tweeted: “nothing will ever be funnier or more pathetic and toxic than isr@elis tryna victimize themselves. go f**k yourself pleaseeeee.”
On July 17, 2020, Samara tweeted: “isra*lis will never not be fat, chaffing hoes.”
On July 4, 2020, Samara tweeted: “it’s so funny you think isra-hell matters.” Her tweet referred to a tweet that said “Just a reminer

On August 12, 2018, Samara tweeted: “Yeah I’m anti Semite because I’m against an apartheid state that massacres and steals my family’s land, my ancestor’s land, not to mention slaughtered all the Palestinian Jews for refusing to join Israel.”
SJP USF - Anti-Semitism
In November 2013, SJP hostedand sponsored a game show — purportedly about Palestinian culture, geography and history — modeled on the TV show "Jeopardy!" A number of student organizations competed. One question — conjuring a medieval anti-Semitic blood-libel — asked students to name the "type of poisons that Israeli settlers put in Palestinian water supplies to make them undrinkable."
USF’s student newspaper reported that the "majority of the questions referenced the Israel-Palestinian conflict and focused on the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, ‘snatching’ Palestinian children from their beds and ‘massacring’ Palestinians on sacred Muslim ground." Another question propagated the lie that Israel maintains “Jew-only” roads.
On July 30 2014, SJP USF posted an image to Facebook that featured two pictures, one of Adolf Hitler with the caption "We are the master race" and a second picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a caption that read: “We are God’s chosen people.” SJP USF commented: “Justifications.”
On September, 5, 2014, SJP USF held an event misleadingly titled "The Hidden Genocide: The Story of Palestine." Hamas fundraiser Monzer Taleb — an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) terrorism finance trial — headlined the event as one of two “motivational speakers.”
On June 20, 2018, Samara tweeted: “Don’t forget when jewish refugees were turned away by Europe but accepted by Palestine, only to bite the hand that fed them and kick all the Palestinians out of their homes, stealing their land, while also slaughtering the Palestinian Jews that refused join the Zionist Israel.”
