Stephanie Fakih

Stephanie Fakih [Stephanie Nicole Fakih] is a public official who spread antisemitism in October 2024 during Israel’s war against Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023 terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis. Hezbollah began attacking Israeli communities the following day.

As of October 2024, Fakih was listed as a trustee and member of the board of trustees on the Bloomfield Township, Michigan website. She was also listed as serving on the township’s Zoning Board of Appeals and as a member of “several legislative committees.” On October 15, 2024, ClickonDetroit.com reported that Fakih’s term was slated to expire on November 20, 2024.

As of October 2024, Fakih was listed as the owner of the criminal defense law firm Rights First Law, P.C., located in Birmingham, Michigan.

Also as of October 2024, Fakih was listed by the State Bar of Michigan with an active license, number P77167. She was listed as a lawyer by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Fakih was also listed by the State Bar of California with an active license, number 288767.

Fakih received a JD from Fordham University School of Law (Fordham Law), located in New York, New York. She graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (U-M Ann Arbor) with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

As of October 2024, Fakih’s X account said she was located in Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

In October 2024, Fakih posted [photo 2] on Instagram: “Israeli zionists are the scum of the earth and the only people on par are American zionists.”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.

Included in Fakih’s post was a video captioned: “Israel heavily strikes Beirut…” The video was taken from another account, and it referred to Israel’s response to Hezbollah missile attacks on Israel. Since October 8, 2023, Israel faced missile and drone attacks from Hezbollah. Israel also faced threats on the Israeli-Lebanese border of Hezbollah carrying out an attack on Israeli communities like Hamas did on October 7, 2023.

Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.” For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

On October 15, 2024, ClickonDetroit.com reported: “A member of the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustee is under fire for calling Zionists ‘scum of the earth’ on her social media” and that there was “a special board meeting…to address Fakih’s post.”

During the October 14, 2024 meeting, Fakih said [00:18:50]: “For the last week, you have seen some members of this board give statements and comments to the press…they have put words in my mouth, and they have labeled me anti-Semitic.”

Fakih continued [00:19:08]: “...I caution us, as a society, against labeling people.”

In the same October 15, 2024 article, ClickonDetroit.com reported that, following the meeting, “a motion was passed 6–1 to censure Fakih and have her take substantial steps to heal ‘the wounds in the community caused by her actions.’”

Click-on-Detroit.com reported that after the meeting, Fakih’s political website was changed to display the text: “WHAT’S RIGHT IS RIGHT. WHAT’S WRONG IS WRONG.”
