Support for Terrorists

On July 16, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “Martyr Ghassan Kanafani a famous Palestinian journalist/writer being told in an interview to ‘stop fighting (for the Palestinian cause)’. HIS RESPONSE IS THE EXACT REASON WE CONTINUE TO FIGHT!! ✌🏻🇵🇸 ”

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.

On June 23, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “WE WANT JUSTICE FOR AHMED EREKAT AND ALL OUR FALLEN PALESTINIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!! THIS GENOCIDE HAD GONE ON FOR TOO LONG!!! #justiceforahmederekat #freepalestine👊🏻🇵🇸

Ahmad Erekat [Ahmad Moustafa Erekat; Ahmed Erakat] was killed by Israeli security forces after he accelerated and rammed his car into soldiers at a checkpoint. One female soldier was injured. The incident was captured on video.

Mustafa’s tweet linked to a tweet by the Shehab News Agency, reportedly affiliated with Hamas, that said: “The martyr Ahmed Erekat was on his way to his sister's wedding, the occupation forces shot him and left him bleeding to death.”

Mustafa retweeted a June 23, 2020 tweet by Erakat’s cousin, anti-Israel activist Noura Erakat, that said: “Israeli cowards shot him multiple times, left him to bleed for 1.5 hours and blamed him for his death.”

Mustafa retweeted another June 23, 2020 tweet from Noura Erakat that said “The only terrorists are the cowards who shot to kill a beautiful young man and blamed him for it.”

Mustafa retweeted a September 26, 2020 tweet with a video that glorified [00:00:12] Palestinian rock-throwing.

Although romanticized as a form of “popular resistance,” rock throwing remains a deadly form of violence

Spreading Incitement

Mustafa retweeted a September 28, 2020 tweet that said: “On September 28th, 2000, an Isr*eli politician named Ariel Sharon stormed into Al-Aqsa with armed forces and started an uprising and killing 7 Palestinian citizens. Never forget.🇵🇸♥️

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to desecrate or destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state.

Palestinian officials have admitted that Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Chairman Yasser Arafat planned the second intifada well before Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount, an ancient site holy to both Jews and Muslims that houses the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

On September 3, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “They really allowing Jews to pray in Al-Aqsa MOSQUE before majority of Palestinian MUSLIMS?!?! Did they run out of synagogs or something? Make it make sense plz.” On the same date, Mustafa responded to her tweet, writing: “Synagogue whatever same s**t.”

Mustafa’s tweet referred to a Middle East Monitor tweet with a headline that claimed “'UAE agreement permits Jews to pray in #AlAqsa Mosque.'”

On August 13, 2020, the United States, Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed to a joint statement referred to as the “Abraham Accords” in which the UAE consented to formally normalize its relationship with Israel.

The statement said: “all Muslims who come in peace may visit and pray at the Al Aqsa Mosque, and Jerusalem’s other holy sites should remain open for peaceful worshippers of all faiths.”

On May 6, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “Shutyob**cha**up you guys bombed Gaza on the first day of Ramadan and cut off their water supply. And we can’t forget when you shot up Al-Aqsa mosque on the first day of eid.”

Mustafa’s tweet was in response to another tweet with a video of Israeli high school students wishing Muslims greetings for Ramadan in Arabic.

On April 23, 2020, the first day of Ramadan, Gazan terrorists fired rockets at Israeli population centers, to which Israel responded with targeted strikes on Hamas military posts.

On June 2, 2019, during the Muslim holiday of Eid, Palestinian worshippers barricaded themselves inside the Al Aqsa mosque and threw stones and chairs at Israeli troops, after stoning Jewish visitors who toured the Temple Mount compound.

Promoting an Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theory

On August 4, 2020, Mustafa, tweeted: “Idc what anyone says this was Israel’s doing!!! La hawla wala qooita ila billah [there is no power nor strength except by Allah]😔Duas [prayers] to Lebanon🇱🇧

On August 4, 2020, an explosion at a port in Beirut, Lebanon killed over 150 people and injured thousands. Lebanese officials explained that the cause of the explosion was ammonium nitrate stored at a warehouse.

Both Israeli and Hezbollah officials stated that Israel was not connected to the explosion. Lebanese officials had been aware of the materials, which had been stored at the port since arriving on a cargo ship in 2013.

Hatred of Israel and Israelis

On August 2, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “I liked this tweet then unliked once I noticed he’s israeli🤮

On June 12, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “The Isra*lis have terrorized Palestine and it’s ppl for 72 years. They will continue to try and annex all that we Palestinians have left of our land!!! WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP OUR LAND! WE WILL NEVER LOSE OUR IDENTITY! THE FIGHT TO RESIST WILL GO ON!✊🏻🇵🇸#NoToAnnexWestBank.”

In the spring of 2020, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli sovereignty would be applied to certain areas of the West Bank. The annexation plan was canceled a day before the July 1, 2020 deadline.
Mustafa retweeted a May 19, 2020 tweet that said: “it's a beautiful morning I can hear the birds cursing israel❤️

On May 14, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “The fight will never end! The resistance will never end! We will never forget Al-Nakba AND WE YELL FROM THE HIGHEST MOUNTAINS FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA PALESTINE WILL BE FREE! #FreePalestine #Nakba72.”

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a chant calling to dismantle the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.

On April 20, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “I’m fuming I’m literally fuming I FRICKIN HATE ISRA*L INSHĀALLAH MAYSHOOFO BOOKRA! [May Allah make them not see tomorrow's day]”

On April 16, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “All these Israelis on my tl [timeline]” with a picture of a girl making a disgusted face. Someone commented on Mustafa’s tweet: “Is that why it’s been smellin bad around here.” Mustafa responded: “The tl reeks of it.”

On November 14, 2019, Mustafa tweeted: “Wallah I’m so tired of israel even the word gets me sooo frustrated and angry!!!!!! I CANT CONTAIN MYSELF ANYMORE.”

On September 30, 2019, Mustafa tweeted: “Excuse me as I mop this tweet” with a photo of a mop and the Israeli flag as a rag.

Demonizing Zionists

On March 20, 2020, Mustafa tweeted that Zionists are “demented.”

On April 30, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “This is literally Zionist propaganda and if you think it’s real then you’re gullible asf [as f**k.]” Mustafa’s tweet linked to a tweet with a video of a Palestinian man pushing [00:00:05] his toddler son towards Israeli soldiers, encouraging his child to throw [00:00:58] rocks at them and calling on the soldiers to shoot the boy.

Demonizing Israel

On October 25, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “The problem with Israelis tho is much deeper they’re causing and supporting a mass genocide it’s more than just racism. Those who accept an Israel state accept the genocide of the Palestinians.”

Mustafa retweeted a July 21, 2020 tweet that said: “once again, israel has proved that it's made of racist, self centered, greedy and pathetic a**holes. doesn't surprise me that israel & america are best friends lol they share the same opinions.”

Mustafa retweeted a June 29, 2020 tweet that said: “israel has never wanted peace, does not want peace, and will never have peace. from day one israel has been planning the full control of Palestine and all its land but has hid it with plans of ‘peace’ and a ‘two-state sloution.’”

On the same date, Mustafa tweeted: “MY PEOPLE IN OHIO COME OUT AND STAND SITH PALESTINE!!✊🏻🇵🇸” Mustafa’s tweet included flyers promoting “Day of Rage” protests in Ohio. One of the flyers called for the Palestinian right of return and displayed a series of misleading maps.

The maps claim that lands once controlled by Britain, Egypt and Jordan as autonomous “Palestinian land” were purportedly stolen by Israel. In February 2016, publisher McGraw-Hill Education recalled copies of a college textbook containing the fraudulent maps. In October 2015, American cable news network MSNBC apologized for airing a similar series of maps and retracted them.

The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel.

On July 1, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “Everyone plz try and attend the Day of Rage protests from july 1-5 in your cities!!! PLZ GIVE PALESTINE THE SAME ENERGY YOU GAVE BLM [Black Lives Matter]!!!”

Several speakers at the “Day of Rage” protests reportedly blamed Israel for U.S. police brutality against minority communities, such as the killing of George Floyd

Mustafa retweeted a June 21, 2020 tweet that said: “are you stupid? Over 70 years of targeting Palestinians?? Over 70 years of ethnic cleansing and you dare to say it’s not a genocide??? Are you actually dense? Israel is literally a Jewish ethnostate birthed out of the wrongful theft of land from the Palestinians. Shut the f**k up.”

On May 14, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “15 May, 1948. The day of Catastrophe… A genocide had begun… #NekbaDay🇵🇸

On May 4, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “Don’t wanna hear anyone try and say Palestinians aren’t oppressed! I said before and I’ll say it again ISRAEL IS A TERROR STATE!!! Free Palestine until it’s backwards🇵🇸

On April 20, 2020, Mustafa tweeted that “israel is filled with cowards!” in response to another tweet that claimed: “the Israeli government announced they are going to competely annex the West Bank UNDER COVER OF A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC …”

On April 2, 2020, Mustafa tweeted: “ISRAEL CAN SUCK MY BIG TOE ANTI ZIONISM ≠ ANTI SEMITISM!!!! I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ZIONIST THAT CONTINUE TO KILL MY PPL, STEAL OUR LAND AND MAKE US OUT TO BE CRIMINALS!!! SCREW ISRAEL UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!!!”
