Shuvo Shahariyer
Shuvo Shahariyer is a student who harassed a Jewish woman in Central Park, New York City in the wake of the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attacks against Israel.
Shuvo Shahariyer was one of a group of two men and four women who were filmed physically confronting and assaulting a Jewish woman in a public city park as she was putting up posters meant to raise awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
As of January 21, 2025, Shuvo Shahariyer's LinkedIn profile said he was a first year student studying computer science at New York City College of Technology (City Tech), expecting to graduate in July 2026. City Tech is located in New York, New York. His LinkedIn also said he was an "Aladdin Financial Engineering Intern" at Blackrock since July 2024.
As of the same date, Shahariyer's LinkedIn said he was located in the New York City Metropolitan area.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.

On November 15, 2023, five weeks after the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel in which approximately 1,200 Israelis were murdered and 251 Israelis, Americans, and other nationals were kidnapped and taken hostage, Jew Hate Database posted on Instagram a video with the text: "Bunch of Jew haters spotted harassing and intimidating a Jew putting up posters of kidnapped hostages..."
The post included a video of Shahariyer with another man and four women, physically confronting and verbally harassing a pro-Israel activist in Central Park, New York City, as she was putting up posters of Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
In the video, Shahariyer is seen as he moved forward directly in front of the person filming the incident, waved his hand back and forth in front of the camera lens, put his hand up to cover the camera lens, and yelled [00:00:01]: "Get out of here!"
Shahariyer was joined by the rest of the group who surrounded the woman and verbally harassed her. One of the group is heard shouting at the woman: "You're committing a genocide!" Another says: "Free Palestine!"
As Shahariyer and his group continue to yell at her, the woman is heard saying: "The last time I heard, this is Central Park...and this is [a] public place; I can be here."
Shahariyer and the others interrupt her by shouting over her, including saying: "Free Palestine!" and ""Genocide!"
The woman then calls out: "I'm being attacked by a group of pro-Palestine ... [inaudible, as the group menacing the woman shout over one another]!"
Shahariyer again moved forward and stood directly in front of the woman, leaned towards her and, standing inches in front of her face, said [00:00:17]: "Shut up! Shut up! Free Palestine, bro! Get your sh*t out of here!"
Off camera, Shahariyer yells at the woman: "What is wrong with you?! F**k you!"
The second man says: "Your whole country's going to burn in hell..."
Shahariyer appeared to start recording the woman on his cellphone, as he approached her again, and is heard off-camera making loud grunting noises.
The second man then yelled, "In twenty years, Israel is going to be forgotten in f**ing history!"
Shahariyer interrupts and again yells: "F**k you!"
The second man continued: "All you all are going to f**ing hell! ...F**ing Nazis."
Shahariyer repeated [00:00:39]: "Yeah! F**king Nazis, bro! F**k you!"
