Shuvo Shahariyer
Shuvo Shahariyer is a student who harassed a Jewish woman in Central Park, New York City in the wake of the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attacks against Israel.
Shuvo Shahariyer was one of a group of two men and four women who were filmed physically confronting and assaulting a Jewish woman in a public city park as she was putting up posters meant to raise awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
As of January 21, 2025, Shuvo Shahariyer's LinkedIn profile said he was a first year student studying computer science at New York City College of Technology (City Tech), expecting to graduate in July 2026. City Tech is located in New York, New York. His LinkedIn also said he was an "Aladdin Financial Engineering Intern" at Blackrock since July 2024.
As of the same date, Shahariyer's LinkedIn said he was located in the New York City Metropolitan area.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped 251 and wounded thousands. War crimes included various systematic sexual crimes like gang rape and genital mutilation. Men and women were violated, even after being murdered. Victims who survived that day, including hostages, endured forms of humiliation and torture.
Gazans working in the targeted Israeli villages provided intelligence to Hamas on which families to kill and torture, including long-time employers. Many Palestinian civilians joined in and celebrated the attacks. Hamas livestreamed their crimes on social media, including to victims’ accounts for families to see.
