Samia Shoman

Samia Shoman spread hatred of Israel during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

As of May 2025, Shoman was affiliated with the anti-Israel group Teach Palestine.

Also as of May 2025, Shoman was listed as a high school social science teacher and manager of English Learner and Academic Support Programs for the San Mateo Union High School District.

As of the same date, Shoman was listed as leading a Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum Consortium in California.

On January 22, 2023, the New York Post reported that Shoman opposed a proposed revision in California's Ethnic Studies curriculum that would include Jewish American Studies.

Shoman graduated from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a doctorate in education in 2005.

As of May 2025, Shoman's LinkedIn said she was located in Burlingame, California.

On November 10, 2023, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, Shoman reposted a video on X which accused Israel of "settler colonialism and genocide."

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.

On May 10, 2021, Shoman reposted a video on X showing Arab-Israeli rioters taking down an Israeli flag in the city of Lod and replacing it with a Palestinian flag. The post said: "Palestinians reclaiming their cities and towns during the Nakba week."

On May 11, 2021, during OGW, violent Arab riots broke out in Israel’s mixed Jewish-Arab city of Lod and in other Israeli cities with large Arab populations. The Lod rioters reportedly raised Hamas and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags, and attacked Israeli civilians with slabs and rocks, firebombs and metal rods. Rioters also torched synagogues, cars and businesses, and vandalized hospital medical equipment, schools and government buildings.

Anti-Israel activists and Palestinians commemorate what they call “Nakba Day” on May 15, corresponding to the day following Israel’s declaration of statehood in 1948. Palestinians coined the term "nakba," Arabic for "catastrophe,” to draw a comparison with the Holocaust, known in Hebrew as the Shoah, meaning “catastrophe.”

On August 8, 2014, Shoman reposted on X a link to a video of a speech by Mads Gilbert at an anti-Israel rally held in Tromsø, Norway.

Gilbert has been banned indefinitely from entering Gaza through Israel because of his connections to the Hamas leadership. In 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2014, Gilbert acted as a propagandist for Hamas.

In 2001, following al Qaeda's September 11 terrorist attacks, Gilbert expressed support for the terror acts as a “legitimate response.”

In the speech, Gilbert equated Israel with Nazi Germany, saying: "In 1938, the Nazis called the Jews 'Untermenschen,' subhuman. Today, Palestinians in the West Bank, in Gaza, in the diaspora are treated as Untermensch..."

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.
