Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany

On May 10, 2021, Muraweh tweeted: “Whats happening in Palestine is not okay, and what happened in the Holocaust is not okay. May God forgive you.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

Disrupting a Campus Event

On November 14, 2019, Muraweh posted a video [slide 9] to her Instagram highlight titled “PS” of activists hanging up a Palestinian flag with a caption: “We took over the room For context, they were gonna host IDF [Israeli Defense Forces] soldiers here.”

On the same date, Muraweh posted another video [slide 10] captioned: “THE IDF IS NOT WELCOME HERE.”

Muraweh’s posts referred to the disruption of a November 13, 2019 event organized by pro-Israel student groups at ASU titled: “Courage and Sacrifice:Wounded IDF Soldiers Speak on Campus.”

SJP at ASU and other student groups overtook the reserved venue prior to the event while around 80 protesters blocked the entrance to the room forcing event organizers to relocate to another venue.

On the same date, SJP at ASU posted a photo to Instagram of the activists and wrote: “Whether it’s ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] or IDF, agents of genocide and oppression are not welcome on campus. Thank you to all who helped us make that clear tonight.

Hatred of Zionists and Zionism

Muraweh retweeted a June 20, 2021 tweet that read: “zionists are soul-sucking. leave us alone…”

On May 30, 2021, Muraweh tweeted: “Zionist = TRASH.”

Muraweh retweeted an April 22, 2021 tweet that read: “Never ever give Zionists an inch. You cannot reason with those who defend apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. Free Palestine.”

On August 16, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “Zionism is literally a racist ideology.”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.

On August 8, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “You realize Zionism murders and displaces Palestinians so Zionists can move into their houses fully furnished…”

Promoting Incitement

On May 22, 2021, Muraweh tweeted a video clip of herself speaking to the crowd where she claimed [00:00:34] that "Now that there is a ceasefire in Gaza they went to Al Aqsa mosque and are shooting rubber bullets at our people.” The video was clip was taken at a protest titled “2nd Protest to Support Palestine” co-organized by the Palestinian Amerian Community Centre (PACC).

Muraweh retweeted another May 10 2021 tweet that read: “‘With our soul and blood, we redeem you, Aqsa’, Palestinians chant facing the Israeli occupation police at ‘alSilsila [Chain Gate]’ Gate.”

On May 7-10, 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound, following claims that Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Al-Aqsa has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state.

Muraweh retweeted a May 10, 2021 tweet that read: “Heart breaking news on #AlAqsaUnderAttack. May the Almighty safeguard the people of Palestine and the sacred Mosque…”

Demonizing Israel

On June 24, 2021, Muraweh showed her support for Dr. Fidaa Wisha who called for Israel’s destruction and accused Israel of “cannibalism” in a May 26, 2021 Facebook post and tweeted:“#WeStandWithDrWishah♥️🇵🇸.”

Muraweh retweeted a June 15, 2021 tweet accusing Israel of “GENOCIDE.”

On May 10, 2021, during Israel’s “Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW)” against Hamas in Gaza, Muraweh tweeted: “I condemn the Israeli terrorist government.”

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.

Muraweh retweeted a May 10, 2021 tweet calling Israel “a settler colony illegally occupying Palestine” and accusing Israel of “ systematic genocide” and “ethnic cleansing.”

On August 27, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “...that country [Israel] was founded on the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians…This flag [Israeli flag] represents an apartheid state which has a siege on Gaza and is planning to annex the West Bank...”

In the spring of 2020, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli sovereignty would be applied to certain areas of the West Bank. The annexation plan was canceled a day before the July 1, 2020 deadline.
On August 26, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “Our police cross train in Israel… Defund the police. End the deadly exchange. Free Palestine.”

In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange (DX)” campaign, which accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses. JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S.

Endorsing Anti-Israel Agitators

On October 22, 2021, Muraweh promoted a November 27, 2021 “Fundraiser” that featured anti-Israel agitator Amer Zahr as a speaker.

Zahr has expressed support for the Hamas and Hezbollah terror organizations, celebrated violent protesters, denied [00:01:18] the Jewish connection to Jerusalem and instructed activists not to condemn anti-Semitism or terrorism.

Muraweh retweeted a May 17, 2021 tweet that praised anti-Israel agitator Mohmammed El-Kurd and read: “the way mohammed al-kurd single-handedly created a turning point in how palestine is discussed in the mainstream is so surreal. god bless him.”

El-Kurd has glorified terrorists, spread incitement and whitewashed the Hamas terrorist organization. In 2021, El-Kurd spread misinformation about Israel during interviews on major U.S. television networks CNN and MSNBC, as well as on social media.

SJP Activism

Muraweh was featured in multiple SJP at ASU Facebook photos posted on June 12, 2021 to an album titled “Nakba 73: Rally and March.” The event was held on May 15, 2021 and was co-organized by SJP at ASU.

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

In a Facebook photo from the event, Muraweh spoke through a microphone in front of a crowd of activists as well as standing behind an SJP stand. She was also pictured speaking through a megaphone.

On May 18, 2021, Muraweh featured in an SJP at ASU Instagram video promoting an event titled: “PHOENIX DAY OF ACTION” to remember “THOSE KILLED AT THE HANDS OF ISRAELI TERROR.”

During the video she stated [00:00:03] that she was “one of the organizers” for the event.

On May 18, 2021, Muraweh featured [00:00:02] in an SJP at ASU Instagram video from the event, speaking through a megaphone and leading the chant “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free.”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a chant calling to dismantle the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.

On July 29, 2020, Muraweh promoted an SJP at ASU event to Twitter titled: “Car Caravan for Palestine” and wrote: “Bring your flags and your kuffiyehs!!🇵🇸#FreePalestine.”

The keffiyeh or kufiya is a “traditional Arabian headdress.”

Supporting BDS

On July 19, 2021, Muraweh tweeted: “BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS BDS.”

On May 27, 2021, Muraweh led an event co-hosted by SJP at ASU and titled “ASU, Divest!” for a “rally and protest” at ASU. The Facebook event desciprtion page read  “We sent an email to President Crow [Michael Crow] detailing how to support Palestinian students and their families, only to be met with silence.”

On May 20, 2021, during OGW, SJP at SJU and PCCASU co-authored an email addressed to ASU President Michael Crow. The email condemned Crow’s “silence on the ethnic cleansing of Palestine” and called on ASU “to divest from Israel and prevent student tuition money from supporting companies and programs which contribute to the violations against the Palestinian people.”

The Facebook event descprition continued “Palestinian students deserve for Arizona State University to stop contributing to the ethnic cleansing of their people.”

On the day of the event, Muraweh featured [slide 5] in an SJP at ASU Instagram video speaking to “President Crow’s Secretary.” The Instagram post read: “Today we called on Arizona State University to Divest….”

That same day, Muraweh commented on the Instagram post: “DIVEST! STOP LETTING OUR MONEY KILL OUR PEOPLE! @arizonastateuniversity@asuprescrow.”

The activists delivered a letter to Crow’s secretary with a list of demands that called on ASU “to end its study abroad program for counterterrorism in Israel, condemn Israeli attacks in Gaza and the displacement of Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah, break ties with HP Inc. and Caterpillar… bar Israel Defense Forces from being on campus and release a statement in support of Palestine.”

In a May 28 2021 article published by ASU’s student-run newspaper, the State Press and titled “Students issue demands, protest in support of Palestinian community” Muraweh reportedly said “We are not stopping anytime soon. We are expecting to hear some sort of response from ASU and Michael Crow, and we won't stop until ASU divests from companies that are contributing to the ethnic cleansing of our families,"

On April 11, 2021, Muraweh tweeted: “BDS belongs on every college campus♥️♥️🇵🇸🇵🇸Viva Palestina!! We will divest like we did in the 80s to end South African apartheid!!!.”

On April 13, 2021, she tweeted: “I love BDS. All colleges should support Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions! Free Palestine!”

On December 1, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: How did this s**t from the BDS list make it to my tl [timeline]. BTW [By the way] don’t buy Sabra.”

Sabra Hummus is partially owned by an Israeli company, the Strauss Group.

On November 15, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “Until you put your money where your mouth is, your ‘support’ is bulls**t. BDS. Support BDS. Boycott. Divestment. Sanctions. Free Palestine🇵🇸.”

On October 11, 2020, Muraweh tweeted: “I saw some tweets circulating about bringing BDS to ASU. What a great idea!! Don’t you think?♥️🕊️🇵🇸.”

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
