Sai Vankamamidi

Sai Vankamamidi [Sai Sriya Vankamamidi] was arrested at a pro-Hamas encampment at the University of Connecticut (UConn) during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

On April 30, 2024, Sai Vankamamidi was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct at the UConn encampment, according to records obtained from the UConn Police Department.

The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of March 2025, Sai Vankamamidi's LinkedIn profile said she was studying for a bachelor's degree in communication at UConn, slated to graduate in 2025.

Also as of March 2025, Sai Vankamamidi's LinkedIn said she worked part-time as the "Events Director" at UConn Student Television (UCTV).

As of the same date, Sai Vankamamidi's LinkedIn said she was located in the greater Hartford, Connecticut, area.

UConn is located in Storrs, Connecticut.
