Ray Mustafa
Ray Mustafa denied Hamas terror atrocities and spread hatred of Israel as a speaker at two anti-Israel rallies in October 2023. Mustafa also spoke at another rally in support of Hamas in late 2023.
Mustafa also compared Israel to Nazi Germany, expressed support for terrorists and spread hatred of Israel.
Mustafa’s activism occurred in the wake of Hamas terror atrocities against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023. The attacks left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”
On October 15, 2023, eight days after Hamas murdered 1,200 Israeli citizens, Mustafa denied [00:12:35] Hamas war crimes as a speaker at a rally and march titled: “Philly Stands with Gaza.” The event was organized by the Philly Palestine Coalition (PPC) and held in Rittenhouse Square Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At the rally, Mustafa said [00:12:35]: “[Israel] had to invent the fake story about Hamas beheading children so they could prepare the world for what they’re going to do to the people in the Gaza Strip.”
Denial of the Hamas war crimes of October 7, 2023, among anti-Israel activists has been likened to Holocaust denial among neo-Nazis.
Hamas terrorists murdered Israeli Jewish babies during its October 7, 2023, terror attacks. Some of the babies were beheaded and some were murdered in front of their parents.
Mustafa also said [00:12:54] at the rally: “We have not seen one picture of any Israeli child that was killed. We did not hear one story of any woman that came up and said that she was raped. They are the rapists! They are the killers!” Expose them!”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas raped both women and men. Some were raped and murdered or mutilated. Hamas terrorists said they were given explicit orders to carry out those atrocities on both live victims and corpses.
On October 28, 2023, Mustafa spread [00:16:21] hatred of Israel as a speaker [00:26:05] at a pro-Hamas rally and march organized by PPC. The event was held at Philadelphia City Hall.
At the rally, Mustafa said [00:16:21]: “We know who the terrorists are, we know who the evil people are, we know what they are doing. For 75 years they have been doing to Palestine what they’re doing in Gaza today. Since 1948 till right now.”
The modern State of Israel was founded 75 years earlier, in 1948.
Mustafa shouted [00:26:05] as protesters cheered: “There will be no peace in Palestine until this Zionist colonial state is taken apart and [Israeli prime minister] Benjamin Netanyahu and the rest of those Western Zionist European bloodthirsty warmongers go back to Europe!…”
One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to claim [00:06:46] that Jews, particularly Ashkenazi Jews, do not descend from the ancient Israelites. This claim alleges that Jews are white Europeans who lack a connection to the Land of Israel.
On October 28, 2023, the Philly Palestine Coalition (PPC) held a rally at Philadelphia City Hall calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas terror group. Hamas committed multiple war crimes against Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023, including the murder of approximately 1,200 Israelis. Israel declared war immediately.
Speakers at the rally led chants supporting terrorism and calling for Israel’s destruction.
One speaker led [00:09:55] the pro-terror chant: “Free, free Palestine! Free, free Palestine! There is only one solution! Intifada, revolution! There is only one solution! Intifada, revolution!”
Speakers said [00:04:10] that beyond a ceasefire, they wanted “liberation,” meaning “ending the siege on Gaza, ending the occupation and decolonizing Palestine from the River to The Sea.” Rally-goers chanted [00:00:02], in Arabic: “From the River to The Sea, Palestine is Arab!” Both chants are a call for the destruction of Israel.
On October 30, 2023, Mustafa wrote on Instagram: “#Gaza is a concentration camp” and: “This is a #Holocaust.”
The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

Mustafa was featured in a October 29, 2023 video in which he was interviewed at an anti-Israel rally the day before. He claimed [00:00:35] during the interview that Israel’s military response to the October 7 Hamas massacre was a “genocide.”
