Whitewashing Terrorists
On June 13, 2021, Shahin posted to Facebook: “My baby cousin lost his best friend/neighbor [Jamil Al-Amouri]. He was killed by the IOF [Israeli Occupation Forces].”Al-Amouri was a member of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihah (PIJ)
Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is a terror group “whose objective is the destruction of the State of Israel and the establishment of a sovereign, Islamic Palestinian state.” PIJ is backed by Iran and has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings and other attacks.
Al -Amouri was killed in a firefight on June 10, 2021, when Israeli forces reportedly entered the city of Jenin “to arrest two Islamic Jihad operatives suspected of shooting at Israeli soldiers in the West Bank,”identified as Jamil al-Amouri and Wisam Abu Zeid.
“IOF” stands for Israeli Occupation Forces, a derogatory name used by anti-Israel activists to demonize Israel’s army in place of its official name, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Shahin retweeted a June 8, 2021 tweet that read: “After 20 years in a zionist prison, during which time he was only permitted *two* visitations, Abdullah Abu Jaber is free… In his first interview he speaks on the power of the resistance in between kisses. This is who we are.”
Abu Jaber reportedly served a “20-year sentence” in Israeli prison “for planting a bomb on an Israeli bus that injured more than a dozen people” in the year 2000, during the second intifada. Abu Jaber, a Palestinian-Jordanian man, reportedly detonated his bomb remotely on a 51 bus in Tel Aviv, on December 28, 2000.
The second intifada (2000-2005) was characterized by more than 120 suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians on buses and in cafes.
Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany
Invoking the Nazi holocaust of the Jews, on June 29, 2021, Shahin tweeted: “For anyone wondering how people stayed silent and allowed the holocaust to happen or any other genocide in history, ask yourself if you've spoken out on Palestine. This is why those events continue to not only haunt us but continue to happen.”Demonizing Israel
In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
On June 29, 2021, invoking the “Deadly Exchange” narrative promoted by Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), Shahin tweeted: “Into American life. Where our police are trained in torture and brutality by the IOF [Israel Occupation Forces]. Where our companies such as Boeing and ben and Jerry's are committing your dollars to this genocide.”
In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange (DX)” campaign, which accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses. JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S.
On June 6, 2021, Shahin tweeted: “Let me be clear. F**K isr*el and the IDF [Israel Defense Forces].”
On May 21, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW) in Gaza, Shahin shared a Facebook post by anti-Israel agitator Linda Sarsour that read: “Ceasefire does not cease the occupation, apartheid, displacement. Ceasefire means Israel will stop bombing and murdering Palestinians in plain sight for a little while…”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
On May 20, 2021, Shahin tweeted: “At this point a ceasefire is just a return to the status quo which is the gradual and slow ethnic cleansing and killing of Palestinians.”
On May 17, 2021, Shahin tweeted: “The apartheid terrorist state is working OVERTIME to silence us. Suppressing palestinian posts, censoring us, limiting viewership and search engine results. The devil works hard.”

Promoting Anti-Israel Agitators
Shahin’s list included the anti-Israel online news channel AJ Plus (AJ+), particularly, Dena Takruri,anti-Israel agitator Mohammed El-Kurd and the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM).
AJ+ is a Qatari-funded propaganda media channel known for spreading misinformation and lies about Israel.
El-Kurd has glorified terrorists, spread incitement, demonized Zionists and promoted hatred of the police. In 2021, El-Kurd spread misinformation about Israel during interviews on major U.S. television networks CNN and MSNBC, as well as on social media.
PYM supports and has glorified terrorists, including Hamas, promotes incitement to violence, as well as anti-Israel conspiracy theories and advocates for the dissolution of the State of Israel. PYM also supports BDS, demonizes Israel, supports anti-Israel agitators and praises violent protesters.
Anti-Israel Activism
On May 14, 2021, during OGW, Shahin promoted an anti-Israel protest titled: “All Eyes on Palestine” and tweeted: “Almost time! “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a chant calling to dismantle the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.
Another speaker at the protest claimed [00:00:08]: “Also the Israelis are destroyingthe Al-Aqsa and taking everything the people own.”

BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
