Promoting Vandalism
On April 27, 2023, Miri embedded a tweet from CTV News in Canada that read: “Israeli flag burned outside school; Montreal police hate crimes unit investigating…”Miri wrote: “Lol.”
On April 27, 2023, Montreal police reportedly arrested a 16-year-old boy after he ripped down and set fire to several Israeli flags that had been hung on the fences of a Jewish day school near Montreal to celebrate Israel Independence Day.
Following the incident, a video was reportedly [00:00:28] posted on Instagram which showed an individual wearing a keffiyeh ripping down the flags and setting them on fire with the caption: “I am not afraid of any Yehudis [Jews], and I do not care about any ‘promises.'”
Terror Support (Hamas, PIJ)
On October 7, 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas, Miri posted on X: “Glory to our martyrs and long live the resistance.”Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
Hatred of Zionists and Israelis
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.
On April 2, 2019, Miri tweeted: “What’s so hard to understand: if you even associate with zionists, you’re scum.”
On November 2, 2020, Miri responded to a tweet that said: “‘Settler’ is a racial slur when used against Jews in Israel.”
Miri tweeted: “No it’s not
the fact is they are settlers on colonized land.”One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is by claiming that Jews have no connection to the Land of Israel.
On May 29, 2021, Miri tweeted: “There has never been a single argument made by a zionist that justifies Israels existence.”
On December 26, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Zionism is racist and it blows me away when people of colour choose to even associate with a zionist. Delusional.”
The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 other countries have adopted the definition as well.
Miri reposted a November 8, 2024 post on X that said: “Zionists get mad at using the word Holocaust to describe a brutal ongoing genocide bc it ‘cheapens the Holocaust’ that their ancestors endured. Meanwhile they will use the word ‘pogrom’ to describe a few people getting their a**es rightfully handed to them in a street fight.” The post was referring to anti-Semitic pogroms in Amsterdam that occurred earlier that day.
On November 8, 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists, anti-semitic rioters attacked Israeli soccer fans after a match in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Local police reported that at least five victims were hospitalized and more than 60 assailants arrested. The violence erupted despite the Amsterdam mayor’s ban on holding an anti-Israel protest near the stadium.
Hatred of Israel
On August 30, 2021, Miri tweeted: “You cannot ‘support israeI’s right to exist’ and also support Palestine or any indigenous movement lol don’t be silly.”On July 30, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Us: don’t perform in an apartheid state / Singers: hiii isrA*l.”
On June 17, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Israel has no right to exist.”
On June 15, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Zionism has no conscience.”
On May 28, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Zionism is a settler colonial project and its end game IS to wipe out Palestinians. Your conflating of zionism with Judaism is literally harmful to Judaism.”
On May 26, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Condemn Israels crimes as a zionist settler colonial state ethnically cleansing indigenous Palestinian people without bringing up antisemitism challenge.”
On May 15, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW) against Hamas, Miri tweeted: “Anyway, israel shouldn’t exist.”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
On May 6, 2021, Miri tweeted: “I need Americans to realize that ACAB includes the IOF/IDF, who American police have trained with. That should tell you enough.”
"ACAB” is an acronym that stands for “All cops are bastards.” It is sometimes rendered as “1312,” representing the position of the letters in the English alphabet.
“Israeli Occupation Forces,” or “IOF,” is a derogatory name for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) used by anti-Israel activists to demonize Israel’s army.
The accusation that Israeli law enforcement teaches American police brutal tactics during police exchange programs is used to demonize Israel. Participants in these programs have stated [00:02:14] that the training in Israel focuses [00:13:36] on public policy, counterterrorism and leadership training in the form of lectures and discussions.
On March 4, 2021, Miri tweeted: “What is Israel if not genocide persevering.”
On January 3, 2021, Miri tweeted: “I don’t care that a settler in is*ael HAS to serve in the army. They’re still a war criminal.”

On December 30, 2019, Miri tweeted: “It’s Occupied Palestine you delusional colonizers.”
Miri’s tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “Thank you for trying to give me a geography lesson I really appreciate it but you got a little confused, the area you described called israel, it’s also written on maps.”
On September 10, 2019, Miri tweeted: “Reminder that being anti Israel is the bare minimum.”
Anti-Israel Activism
On May 22, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Toronto today #FreePalestine
.”Miri’s tweet included photos taken from a May 22, 2021, anti-Israel march in Toronto hosted by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM).
One photo featured a poster with a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and said: “THE DEVIL WORKS HARD BUT THIS MURDERER WORKS HARDER.”
On May 16, 2021, Miri tweeted: “Toronto showed up for Palestine
.”Miri’s tweet featured photos, including a poster that said: “IT’S NOT A CONFLICT, IT’S AN OCCUPATION.”
The post followed an anti-Israel rally in Toronto held on May 15, 2021. At the rally, a pro-Palestinian protestor reportedly assaulted police officers while other pro-Palestinian protestors assaulted an elderly man with wooden sticks.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
