Overview
Odai Abdallah has celebrated the death of Jews and promoted incitement online. Abdallah has also spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel on social media.As of June 2021, Abdallah’s LinkedIn page said he was studying to become a “Doctor of Pharmacy - PharmD” at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in New Jersey, from “2020 - 2024” and graduated from Drew University (Drew) with a degree in Chemistry in 2020.
Abdallah’s LinkedIn page also said he was a “Medical Intern” in the Atlantic Health System at “Morristown Medical Center, NJ” from Sep 2019 - Dec 2019.”
As of June 2021, Abdallah was listed by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs as a registered Pharmacy Technician in West New York, New Jersey, with an inactive license, number 28RW03750000, issued on 5/31/2019 and expired on 8/31/2020.
As of June 2021, Abdallah’s Twitter bio said he was located in New Jersey.
Celebrating the Death of Jews
On May 16, 2021, Abdallah tweeted: “A synagogue collapsed in israel causing 2 people to die and injure 150 others. If that’s not Allah at work, then I don’t know what is.”Abdallah’s tweet referred to a Jerusalem-area synagogue where newly installed bleachers collapsed, killing 2 people and injuring 184 others on May 16, 2021.
Promoting Incitement
On May 10, 2021, Abdallah tweeted: “Y’all know how they have the canary mission? We need one for those that support what Israel is doing in Palestine. For when this tweet gets added to my CM page, let it be known they destroyed Al-Aqsa.”In May 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound following claims the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The subsequent incitement was a leading factor in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists firing over 4,300 rockets from Gaza into Israel later that month. Israel responded by launching “Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW),” carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza. Allegations of Jews “threatening” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque have been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews predating the State of Israel.
On May 11, 2021, Abdallah tweeted: “Its not just an attack on Palestinians, now the Aqsa attacks are against all of Islam, and all Muslims should be furious.”
Abdallah’s tweet was responding to a tweet that read: “AL-AQSA IS ON FIRE WHERE THE HELL ARE OUR MUSLIM LEADERS???”
The tweet referred to a tree that caught fire next to the Al Aqsa mosque due tofireworks reportedly fired by rioting Palestinians at police.
In May 2021, social media erupted with videos allegedly showing Jews dancing and cheering while a tree burned near the Al-Aqsa mosque. The fire was reportedly caused by Palestinian rioters shooting fireworks at Israeli police. Jews had gathered at the Western Wall in honor of Jerusalem Day, an Israeli national holiday, with no connection to the incident.
Anti-Semitism
On July 15, 2017, Abdallah tweeted: “The Jews and Israelites were kicked out of Israel like 5 times throughout history when are you gonna realize it's not meant for you
.”On March 30, 2019, Abdallah tweeted: “No country is based on a religion except Israel. People of Israel know if anyone says anything about it they can call them anti-Semitic. Where’s Muslim country? The Buddhist country? Why do they deserve a Jewish country? Get out of here w that weak s**t.”
On July 29, 2020, Abdallah tweeted: “Never forget when my yahoodi [Jewish] eye doctor made my sister and I wear glasses he prescribed that were the wrong prescription :).”
On April 2, 2021, Abdallah tweeted: “No but they probably get funding from Jewish organizations outside of the school so make sure nobody donates :).”
Abdallah was responding to a tweet that read: “The Jewish club at my school is doing a fundraiser to take a trip to somewhere called Israel, anyone know what that is?”
Hatred of Israel
On May 11, 2021, Abdallah tweeted: “LMAOOOOOO they couldn’t survive a day in the life of a Palestinian. Cowards.”Abdallah’s tweet was responding to another tweet that included a video of teenagers taking cover in Jerusalem “as air raid sirens go off following rocket attack from #Gaza.”
