Overview

Nourain Jamhour has spread anti-Semitism and promoted hatred of Zionists and Israel. Jamhour has also expressed support for anti-Israel agitators.

In May 2022, Jamhour indicated on Twitter she was working as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse.

In December 2019, Jamhour received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSU). In a Facebook post reporting on her graduation, her hometown was listed as Bossier City, Louisiana.

In August 2022, Jamhour used the handle “@nourinyoureyes” on Twitter where she went by the username “Nourin.”

Jamhour has also expressed hatred of Israel before university.

Anti-Semitism

On December 16, 2016, Jamhour tweeted: “Allah yel3an el yahood [May Allah curse the Jews].”

Hatred of Zionists

On July 21, 2017, Jamhour tweeted: “May Allah destroy Israel and zionists. Good night.”

On January 21, 2017, Jamhour tweeted: “Reminder: Israel is an illegal state and Zionists are a terrorist group disguised as a political movement. Carry on.

Hatred of Israel

On August 1, 2022, Jamhour’s Twitter bio said: “israel is an illegal terrorist state.”

Jamhour retweeted a September 23, 2021 tweet that referred to the Israeli military as “an apartheid state’s military…”

Jamhour retweeted an August 2, 2021 tweet that said: “My favorite new genre is Palestinian women yelling and exposingcolonialists & apartheidists

...” The tweet shared a video that accused Israel of committing “ethnic cleansing” in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

On June 22, 2019 Jamhour tweeted: “...Israel steals land…and kills (and separates) families every day...”

On December 26, 2018 Jamhour tweeted: “... ‘Israel’ will forever be Palestine & it will return to Palestinians (of all religions).”

On August 1, 2017, Jamhour made a poll on Twitter with the topic “Israel has a right to exist” and the poll options were “No” and “No.”

On July 14, 2017, Jamhour tweeted: “Good morning to everyone who is anti-Israel. To everyone else, Allah yehdeekom [may Allah guide your souls].”

Supporting Anti-Israel Agitators

On October 3, 2018, Jamhour tweeted: “I hope Ahed Al Tamimi had a good day.”

Ahed Tamimi has a long history of physically attacking Israeli soldiers. Tamimi is the daughter of Bassem Tamimi, who is known for exploiting young children as political props in staged confrontations with Israeli soldiers.

On March 6, 2019, Jamhour tweeted in support of U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, writing: “Omar is right to question the very questionable policies of Israel & the influence of lobbying groups working on behalf of Israeli interests on US foreign policy… #IStandWithIlhan.”

On February 27, 2019, Ilhan Omar suggested that Israel supporters were disloyal to America. She said: “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country.” After the incident, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee described Omar’s comments as a “vile anti-Semitic slur” and “unacceptable and deeply offensive.”

Hatred of Israel Before University

On May 23, 2015, Jamhour tweeted: “I've been to 3 countries the past 2 days (4 if you count Israel as a country, but I don't).”

On November 18, 2014, Jamhour tweeted: “I really can't think of a reason why someone would defend Israel. Other than the fact that they got paid to do so.”

On August 5, 2014, Jamhour tweeted: “My opinion: we need a two state solution … JK [just kidding], destroy Israel!”

Jamhour wrote her tweet during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE) against Hamas.

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

On July 8, 2014, during OPE, Jamhour tweeted: “This is not a war; it’s genocide. You wouldn’t support Adolf Hitler, so please don’t support Israel.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.
