Shahin’s LinkedIn page said she graduated from UWB in 2019, with a bachelor’s degree in “Community Psychology & Society, Ethics and Human Behavior” and that she graduated from North Seattle College (NSC) in 2017 with an “Associate of Arts - AA, Psychology.”

Shahin also promoted hatred of Jews and spread violent hatred of Israelis while she was in high school.

Spreading Hatred of Jews

On September 29, 2016, Shahin tweeted: “@bendykoval AND NEW YORK CITY IS FULL OF JEWISH PEOPLE. THEY OWN NEW YORK NOW. THEY ARE LITERALLY THE CAUSE OF GENTRIFICATION IN NYC.”

On July 15, 2015, Shahin tweeted: “@sarishagoodman @constibation @Hijabeef oh you'd be surprised.. everyone I know hates on Jews. ” Shahin was responding to atweet that read: “1) most Palestinians I know don't hate on Jews or Israelis it's just ignorant teenagers who get.”

On March 22, 2015, Shahin tweeted: “@corrrtir shut up u jew.”

On March 17, 2015, Shahin tweeted: “@corrrtir @nadiadaniali @AmiraHaseeb you jew.”

Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany

On October 30, 2014, Shahin tweeted a photo of Hitler next to a photo of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding: “‘@Sumi_hasan: Remember Hitler? This is him now. Feel old yet?’ don't get yourself killed lmao.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

On January 17, 2015, Shahin tweeted a series of photos taken of Jews during the Holocaust, as well as photos of Palestinians, adding: “‘@thatarabianguy: [3/3] Jews in Germany on the left (during Holocaust), Muslims in Palestine.’ *all Palestinians.”

Supporting Terrorists

On March 8, 2016, Shahin tweeted: “Leila Khaled: Palestinian socialist revolutionary who continues to stand for the women of the resistance. PFLP [Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine].” Shahin’s tweet featured photos of Khaled holding an assault rifle.

Khaled is a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau.

Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.

The PFLP claimed credit for the 2014 Har Nof Massacre where six people were murdered during morning prayers in a Jerusalem synagogue. The PFLP also claimed credit for the 2001 assassination of the Israeli tourism minister.

On November 26, 2019, Shahin posted to Facebook two photos of Sami Abu Diak embracing his mother.

The photo displayed the caption: “In a letter he wrote a few days ago, Palestinian political prisoner Sami Abu Diak said he wanted to ‘die in my mother's lap’... He (36) was suffering from an advanced stage of cancer and other serious health problems. The Israeli occupation court rejected all pleas to release him to receive proper medical care. You will not hear about this story in the fast food mainstream media. Rest in eternal peace Sami! Allah yir7amo. #Palestine 🇵🇸

Sami Abu Diyak was reportedly convicted for the 2002 murder of three Israelis during the second intifada

Promoting Incitement

On August 11, 2019, Shahin posted a video to Facebook with the caption: “🇵🇸#Palestine || Israeli occupation forces attacked worshippers in the courtyards of Al Aqsa mosque compound.”

On August 11, 2019, Palestinian rioters gathered at the gates of the Al Aqsa compound after rumors circulated that police would allow Jewish visitors on to the Temple Mount. This was in honor of Tisha B’Av, which is regarded as the saddest day in the Jewish calendar and a day of mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem.

Rioters threw stones at police and threw chairs and other objects at Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount.

Demonizing Israel

On July 8, 2020, Shahin shared an episode of NextGen, from the Muslim Network TV video network, to Facebook, titled “The Israeli Apartheid and the Occupation of Palestine.”The episode began with the narrator, Amina Ahmed, stating [00:00:32] Israel was an “illegitimate state” since 1948.

During the episode, Ahmed claimed [00:01:09] that Israel committed “ethnic cleansing of indigenous Palestinians from 90% of Palestine” as well as [00:03:06] “crimes against humanity” and [00:01:55] that 2 million Palestinians are currently confined in “Israel's Gaza concentration camps. ”

Program guest Monia Alhelou also accused [00:12:50] Israel of segregation via the “apartheid Israeli war wall” and denied [00:21:19] Jewish religious and historical connection to the land of Israel as “absolute nonsense.” Alhelou also stated [00:28:17]the phrase ‘Free Palestine’ we are advocating for… the State of Israel to be demolished...”

Anti-Israel activist Dunia Ghanima, a second program guest, stated [00:37:24]: “Zionism is the violent settler colonial ideology that thrives off of Palestinian victimhood and Palestinian genocide. So when we allow the State of Israel to exist, we're allowing this violent ideology of Zionism to thrive, so we need to destroy Zionism at its core.”

On May 16, 2019, Shahin shared a post to Facebook that stated: “The reason that North Americans have such a difficult time comprehending that Israel is a genocidal, ethno-nationalist settler colony is because it would mean admitting that they themselves are genocidal settler colonies; invalidating their right to existence and justification of indigenous erasure. #NakbaDay.”

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

On May 5, 2019, Shahin shared a post to Facebook that stated: “Israeli air strikes are now targeting residential buildings in Gaza Strip.” The post also had the caption that read: “These are the names of Palestinians murdered by the israeli occupation criminals so far.”

Terror organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza fired over 600 rockets at Israeli communities on May 4-5, 2019. Four Israelis were killed and dozens more were injured.

Israel retaliated by striking Hamas and PIJ facilities and killing a military commander with links to Iran. Three of the five individuals Shahin’s post suggested were “murdered” by Israel died from the explosion of a Hamas explosive device.

On April 14, 2016, Shahin tweeted a graphic of a devil, out-of-focus, then a hand cleaning eyeglasses, followed by an in-focus image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On May 12, 2019, Shahin shared a video to Facebook calling on UK TV personality Graham Norton to boycott the Eurovision 2019 song contest, which was to take place in Tel Aviv, Israel.

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
