Noor Almamori
Overview
Noor Almamori has expressed supportfor terrorists from Hezbollah and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP). She has also promoted conspiracy theories, equated Israel with Nazi Germany and spread hatred of Israel on Twitter.Almamori is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and promoted SJSU Divest, a campaign run by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at SJSU.
In June 2018, Almamori’s Instagram account said she was a “SJSU [San Jose State University] alumna🎓”
Support for Terrorists
On July 10, 2014, Almamori tweeted: “Lebanon ❤️ #hezbollah defending the people of Palestine. That makes me so happy.”Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.
On April 23, 2014, Almamori tweeted: “Nasrallah has done so much for Palestine and that's how he's being treated? Smh.” Hassan Nasrallah is the leader of Hezbollah.
On February 5, 2013, Almamori tweeted: “Free Palestine. #IssawiAction196”
Samer Issawi is a member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) who received a 26-year prison sentence in 2002. During the second intifada, Issawi manufactured and distributed pipe bombs and fired indiscriminately on Israeli civilian vehicles. In December 2013, Issawi called for the kidnapping of Israelis, saying: “The [Palestinian] prisoners' release will be brought about by kidnapping and [prisoner] exchanges. Nothing will happen without that.”
Conspiracy Theories
On July 23, 2014, Almamori tweeted: “And just an FYI: the ISIS ‘caliph’ was trained by the Mossad. Supporting ISIS = supporting Israel.”On July 17, 2014, Almamori tweeted: “@zaatardivaa funny how it always comes back to the US or Israel training these terrorists. but Muslims/Arabs are always to blame. Ughhh.”
On September 10, 2013, Almamori tweeted: “Hmm. RT @YourAnonNews: Why didn’t the U.S. invade Israel when it used chemical weapons on Palestinians?”
On May 1, 2013, Almamori tweeted: “Wow... This is sick... 'Israel injects Palestinians with viruses.’”
On March 5, 2013, Almamori tweeted: “WOW RT @YoSoyDalia: Zionist soldiers faking injuries to justify attacking innocent Palestinians. Very disturbing.”
The tweet featured a photo showing a female Israeli soldier — who was instructing a course for trauma medics — applying fake blood to another soldier. The image was originally published in a August 2012 article on women and the IDF.
On the same day, Almamori tweeted: “Previous RT... absolutely unbelievable. The audacity of apartheid Israel. #despicable”
Equating Israel with Nazi Germany
On July 8, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Almamori tweeted: “Israel wants genocide of Arabs? Hmm. Sounds very familiar. #TheNewNAZIS”Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.On November 21, 2012, during Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense (OPD), Almamori tweeted: “!!!!!! RT @RawanOG: ONE HOLOCAUST DOES NOT JUSTIFY ANOTHER @ISRAEL.”
Israel launched OPD to stop Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli civilians from Gaza. Over the course of eight days in November 2012, Palestinian terrorist groups fired more than 1,500 rockets at Israel. The majority struck Israel, damaging homes, schools and other civilian areas. Human Rights Watch noted: “Palestinian armed groups made clear in their statements that harming civilians was their aim.”

On November 15, 2012, Almamori tweeted: “the fact that you're happy about genocide occurring in Gaza at the hands of Israel right now is sick. Goodbye.”

On October 20, 2013, Almamori tweeted: “Apartheid Israel makes me sick.”

BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
