Nico Torrez

Nico Torrez is a theater director who ripped down posters meant to raise awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza. The December 2023 incident occurred in New York, New York.

Hamas kidnapped the civilians, including women and children, during a series of terror attacks and war crimes that left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Hamas executed the terror attacks on October 7, 2023.

The other Hamas war crimes included mass murder, torture, rape and beheadings. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron,” which was going on when Torrez ripped down the posters.

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

Also as of December 11, 2023, Torrez was listed online as the co-founder and artistic director of Virtual Theatre Collaboration, which describes itself as “an experimental theatre project designed to digitally bring early career artists together during the [COVID] pandemic.”
