Overview
Nessreen Barbarawi [Nessreen Zayed] is a dentist who has joked about torturing “Zionists patients.” She has also expressed support for Hamas and for anti-Israel terrorism.Barbarawi promoted United States Senate candidate Patrick Little, who ran as a Republican in 2018, promoting an anti-Jewish neo-Nazi platform.
Barbarawi has spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and is a prolific disseminator of Israel-hatred on Twitter.
She has also promoted a 2018 petition started by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), demonizing pro-Israel students and calling to support SJP founder Hatem Bazian.
Barbarawi is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and has also promoted anti-Israel events and activities on Twitter, organized by Al-Awda - the Palestinian Right to Return Coalition.
In January 2019, Barbarawi’s Twitter bio said she was a “#Palestinian Dentist proud Muslim temporarily in the exile.” In August 2019, her Twitter bio said she was located in Georgia.
As of January 2020, Barbarawi’s LinkedIn page said that she was located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Joking About Torturing Zionist Patients
On September 24, 2015, in response to a tweet that read:”@nBarbarawi07 @onetripp This is for you Nessreen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOtMizMQ6oM …” Barbarawi tweeted: “@AnarchoZionist @onetripp I loved the video I will enjoy doing this to Zionists patients with my pleasure
”Barbarawi was responding to a tweet that linked to a scene from the movie “A Little Shop of Horrors” where a dentist joyfully inflicted pain on his patients.
Support For Hamas
On December 15, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “In solidarity with the people of #Aleppo during the 29th anniversary of the #Hamas movement in #Gaza. #aleppohasfallen.”The tweet featured photos of demonstrators holding Hamas flags at the 29th anniversary of the movement’s founding.
On January 2, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted:“Heartbreaking, watch the funeral of the 17 martyrs killed by Israel last month.. God give their families strength
”The tweet featured photos of the funerals of Hamas terrorists, killed while committing terror attacks.
On October 30, 2015, Barbarawi tweeted: “@danny_chirps89 @HamdoDelic @TiberTaig sorry we still love Hamas

On May 31, 2015, Barbarawi tweeted: “@solioslo I know resistance has started before Hamas but right now Hamas is the only one defense the #Palestinian that's a fact we can't.”
Support for Terrorism
On July 12, 2015, Barbarawi tweeted: “Khader Adanan is finally free after 51days of hunger strike him and his mom after he got released from Israel prison.”Khader Adnan was a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization. A 2007 YouTube video showed Adnan praising and encouraging suicide bombings: "Who among you will carry the next explosive belt? Who among you will fire the next bullets? Who among you will have his body parts blown all over?” In May 2023, Adnan died in prison after refusing medical treatment during a hunger strike.
On October 5, 2015, Barbarawi tweeted: “@FlipFluytketel @rosewestchester @IAMMaJDee @exogeen thats why resistance is the solution no Zionist allowed to stay in our lands shut the F.”
On October 9, 2015, Barbarawi tweeted: “@robbyhuda18 @Omar_Gaza hey why u follow me I'm Palestinian by the way I'm against Israel I can care less if they stab all Zionists my dream.”
On August 16, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “Bilal Kayed .. 63 days in hunger strike ..#FreeBilalKayed #freepalestine #BDS.”
PFLP terrorist Bilal Kayed was incarcerated for 14 years for terror attacks and attempted terror attacks committed during the second intifada, in 2002.
On July 7, 2017, Barbarawi tweeted: “Palestinian prisoner in Israeli occupation jails Mohammad Allan is on the 24 day of hunger strike against his administrative detention.”
Allan is a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a terror group “whose objective is the destruction of the State of Israel and the establishment of a sovereign, Islamic Palestinian state.” Allan was first jailed by Israel in 2006 for trying to recruit a suicide bomber to carry out an attack in Israel. He was detained in 2014 for similar reasons. PIJ is backed by Iran and has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings and other attacks.
Barbarawi retweeted an April 15, 2018 tweet that read: “Today marks 16 years since Israel's arrest of Palestinian leader #MarwanBarghouthi . As we mark Mandela's centenary this year, we reiterate the call for the freedom of Barghouthi, the 'Palestinian Mandela', and all other Palestinian political prisoners. #FreeMarwanBarghouthi.”
Marwan Barghouti is currently serving five consecutive life sentences for his role in suicide bombings and shooting attacks that killed five Israelis during the second intifada.
Barghouti led the Palestinian Authority (PA) terrorist Tanzim force and founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He also financed the guitar-case bomb used in the Sbarro Cafe massacre, where 15 civilians were killed and 130 injured.

Promoting Neo Nazi Patrick Little
On May 9, 2018, Barbarawi tweeted: “Patrick Little expelled from GOP 2018 convention for refusing to serve #Israel.”The tweet featured a video ofRepublican candidate for the United States senate, Patrick Little after he was kicked out of the Republican California GOP Convention for his anti-Semitic views.
From outside the building, Little made a video while standing on an Israeli flag and said [00:00:21]: “I will not bow to a foreign flag. I will not serve a foreign government. The Republican party, the GOP of California, is nothing but Zionist stooges. They do the bidding of a foreign power that has committed terrorist attacks…” Little then spat on the Israeli flag and continued [00:00:41]: “...against this country.”
Little went on to say [00:02:00]: “We know there are Israeli fingerprints all over the 9/11 attacks. This is the flag of a terrorist country. They called the police on me when I started stepping on it… because I won’t serve a foreign power…
Little concluded [00:02:58]: “Vote for me on June 5th in California and I will remove the Jewish supremacist, Zionists from our government, and I’ll make America great again by removing the terrorist element —the Zionist lobby.”
Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories
Barbarawi retweeted a May 20, 2018 tweet that read: “Norman Finkelstein: 97% of Gaza's water is toxic; Israel is slowly, deliberately, poisoning Palestinian children to death
.”Barbarawi retweeted an April 30, 2018 tweet by Patrick Little that read: “Honoring James Traficant:” The tweet linked to a blog post commemorating the death of former U.S. Representative James Traficant, who spread conspiracy theories about Israel controlling the American government and media.
Barbarawi retweeted an April 19, 2018 tweet by Elena Haskins, former webmistress for the “Pro-White Gentile” website WakeUpOrDie.com, that read: “Cursed be the #ProfiteerPoliticians who force American #OverTaxedDebtSlaves to pay to support the abomination of Israel.”
Haskins has spread anti-Semitic blood libels, hatred of Jews and Holocaust denial on Twitter.
On March 6, 2017, Haskins tweeted: “When are #WhiteGentiles going to DEMAND jews MAKE AMENDS for all the damage/poisoning/butchering/ruination jews have done?”
On July 1, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “Zionist more than Zionists them self @HillaryClinton.”
Barbarawi’s tweet featured a photo of Hillary Clinton praying at the Wailing wall in Jerusalem with a caption that read: “I CAME TO THE GREAT WALL OF MOLOCH… TO SAY THANKS FOR BEING NOMINATED TO REPRESENT THE NEXT ZIONIST SHADOW GOVERNMENT IN AMERICA!”
On June 25, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “Did u know,Israel is the largest recipient of US aid in the entire world, 30 Billion of military aid from taxpayers.”
On the same day, Barbarawi tweeted: “Rothschild control Israel and control the political system in United States.”
Spreading Hatred of Israel
On April 24, 2018, Barbarawi tweeted: “Blood on your hands! Disrupting Israeli Ambassador to New York Dani Dayan, former chairman for Israeli settlements.”The tweet featured a video of anti-Israel demonstrators, including Code Pink staff member Ariel Gold, disrupting a talk by Consul General of Israel in New York, Dani Dayan, at Syracuse University.
On September 19, 2016, in response to a tweet that read: “Rest in Peace President Shimon Peres , a Man of War and a Man of the still elusive Peace in the Middle East.” Barbarawi tweeted: “I hope you rest in hell with him ,Arab Zionists worst than Zionists , Shimon Peres was war criminals against Arabs&Palestinians 4over 70years.”
On August 30, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “sorry dear we do exist soon or later Zionists are so going back to Europe and we will get our land.”

The Mavi Marmara was the lead ship in the “Freedom Flotilla” that attempted to sail to Gaza in May 2010. Activists aboard the ship agitated for violent confrontation and chanted a slogan glorifying the killing of Jews. When Israeli security forces boarded the Marmara, protesters attacked them with iron bars, metal chairs, knives, stun grenades and firearms, rocks and bottles. A United Nations report found that the flotilla agitators initiated an organized, violent confrontation with Israeli forces, and that the Marmara was carrying no humanitarian aid, only weaponry.

Barbarawi retweeted a May 21, 2018 tweet that featured a graphic that read: “Solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict - Relocate Israel into the United States.”
Barbarawi retweeted a May 14, 2018 tweet that read: “Gaza Holocaust today
Israeli TERROR machine slaughtered 52 Palestinian unarmed refugee protesters today, 6 of are children and injured 2500+ #GreatReturnMarch #GazaMassacreThe “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel.
On May 16, 2018, a Hamas senior official stated that 50 out of 62 protesters killed during a May 14 protest were Hamas operatives. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also claimed that three of its members were killed at the same protest.
Support for BDS
On August 12, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “New San Francisco bus ads Say:’Boycott Israel Until Palestinians HaveEqual Rights’ #BDS #Freepalestine
” The tweet featured a photo of a bus with an ad calling to boycott Israel. On August 10, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “Egyptian hero in judo Islam Mahmoud refuses facing his competitor Zionist Israeli@the #RioOlympicGames
#BDS”
On June 6, 2016, Barbarawi tweeted: “#BDSwill continue working against apartheid Israel.” The tweet was in response to a June 5, 2016 tweet by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo that read: “Today's Executive Order directs state entities to divest all public funds supporting the BDS campaign against Israel.”
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
