Nadya Tannous
Nadya Tannous called for the destruction of America in May 2024 and expressed hatred of America in November 2023.
As of September 2024, Tannous was reportedly the general coordinator of the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a national pro-terror activist group.
Tannous is a supporter [00:02:16] of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of September 2024, Tannous was reportedly a founding member of the Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts Scholarship, a project of PYM.
Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.
As of September 2024, Tannous served as the director of operations at Honor the Earth, which describes itself as an “Indigenous-led organization fighting to dismantle settler-colonialism, racial capitalism, white supremacy, and imperialism.”
As of the same date, Tannous reportedly graduated from the University of Oxford (Oxford) with a master’s degree in forced migration and refugee studies. Oxford is located in Oxford, England.
As of September 2024, Tannous’s X page said she was located in “Occupied Ohlone Territory.” The Occupied Ohlone Territory is otherwise known as the Bay Area, California.
On May 26, 2024, Tannous was featured [00:00:04] in a YouTube video moderating a plenary session titled: “Palestine and Internationalism,” at the People’s Conference for Palestine.
The conference was organized by anti-Israel groups, including PYM, SJP and Al-Awda and held in Detroit, Michigan on May 24-26, 2024.
In her speech, Tannous said [00:00:04]: “You have all dedicated three long days this weekend to attend a conference in order to further our struggle for the liberation of Palestine. And now, especially in the face of the largest massacre to date in Gaza, it is very clear that Palestine is the tip of the spear against anti-imperialism and against empire. Filistine [Palestine] has awoken our minds and our consciousness not only for us as Palestinian people, but for people all around the globe. And we are here because we’ve been moved to action. And this panel y’all is talking about what is next. To strike at the heart of empire.”
Tannous continued [00:01:17]: “We have all attended panels elsewhere that talk about the central importance of solidarity between our causes and our communities with one another in fighting for collective liberation. But on this panel, we want to talk about not just how we stand with one another and solidarity, but how we fight together.”
Tannous further said [00:02:20]: “But the question as we close is: what do we do with this? And the answer is internationalism. Because together we fight our enemies, we can strengthen the movement that break imperialist alliances, like the one between the U.S. and Israel, and together we can win this.”
On November 16, 2023, Tannous was featured [00:00:01] in a YouTube video participating in the November 4, 2024 Palestine Solidarity Rally in Washington, D.C.
In the video, Tannous said [00:04:29] “And we’re also here with the exact same politics that we hold and the same principles that we hold consistently throughout our organizing, which is that the United States has no moral authority, it is rotten to the core. The wealth that has been accrued by this nation at the heart of the Western imperialist onslaught against Gaza comes from stolen land from Indigenous people and stolen wealth from enslaved Black people and from the continual deferral of justice for many people who live here.”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
