Nader Kasem

Overview

Nader Kasem spread incitement to violence as an activist with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Florida State University (FSU) in 2014.

He is a member of several anti-Israel Facebook groups.

As of March 15, 2018, Kasem’s LinkedIn said he graduated from FSU in 2014 with a “Bachelors of Science (B.S.), Marketing.”

Kasem’s Facebook listed him as a Manager at Vapors Smokeshop, 5546 Old Shell Rd, Mobile, Alabama. On October 28, 2015, Kasem posted to Facebook that he moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Incitement to Violence

On November 7, 2014, Kasem shared to Facebook an illustration of the Al Aqsa Mosque with the hashtag #HandsOffAlAqsa.

The post linked to the Friends of Al Aqsa (FOA) website’s #HandsoffAlAqsa campaign, that claimed to educate, protect and defend the mosque from “Israeli colonisation.”

On November 14, 2014, Kasem appeared in an FSU SJP photo holding up a sign that read: “‘Hands off Al-Aqsa’ Israel, stop terrorising holy sites.”

In the fall of 2014, Palestinian leaders and media incited a wave of violence against Israelis with the lie that Israel intended to desecrate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. This resulted in the November 18, 2014 Har Nof massacre, in which terrorists murdered six people in a Jerusalem synagogue during morning prayers.

Anti-Israel Facebook Groups

Kasem is a member of the anti-Israel Facebook group “Palestine” since 2009. The group states on their “about” page: “We support the resistance of the Palestinian people whether armed, diplomatic, cultural, or economic.”

The page labels Israel “a cancer implanted in the heart of the Middle East” and that “Palestine was raped in 1948 by Zionists…”

Kasem has been a member of the anti-Israel Facebook group “Americans Against Genocide In Gaza (AAGG)” since October 21, 2015.

Kasem is also a member of the closed Facebook group “ لسطين  يا جرح  السنين[Palestine, O wound of the years]” since June 8, 2016. The group’s cover photo featured a picture of terrorist Ahmad Manasra following his arrest..

Ahmed Manasra (sometimes spelled Mansara) and his 15-year-old cousin Hassan went on a stabbing spree in Jerusalem on October 12, 2015, during the Knife Intifada. They critically wounded a 13-year-old boy and moderately wounded a 25-year-old man. The spree ended when police shot Hassan and a passing motorist hit Ahmed. Ahmed was taken to an Israeli hospital. He admitted to investigators: “I went there to stab Jews.” He was later tried and convicted on two counts of attempted murder.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
