Muhammad Irfan Kaleem signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

The May 8, 2024 letter Muhammad Irfan Kaleem signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of May 2024, Muhammad Irfan Kaleem signed a petition defending an illegal and violent anti-Israel encampment at Washington University (WashU). The petition Kaleem signed demanded that WashU "respect the Student Union’s resolution to divest from Boeing and condemn the ongoing atrocities in Gaza."

At the time of signing, Muhammad Irfan Kaleem's LinkedIn profile said he had been working as a visiting researcher at WashU since 2023.

As of September 2025, Muhammad Irfan Kaleem was listed as a visiting researcher at the Center for Neuroengineering and Medicine at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), which is located in Davis, California.

As of the same date, Muhammad Irfan Kaleem's LinkedIn said that he graduated with a bachelor of medicine and surgery from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan in 2019.
