Mohideen Mustafa
Mohideen Mustafa participated in a pro-Hamas rally on October 21, 2023, following the murder of nearly 1,200 Israelis by Hamas on October 7, 2023. For more information on the attacks, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
After Israel killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in mid-2024, Mustafa posted multiple times on Facebook mourning Haniyeh’s death. In one post, Mustafa wrote: “إن لله وإنَ إليه راجعون الله يرحمك شهيد في الفردوس الأعلى [To Allah (God) we belong and to Him we shall return. May Allah have mercy on you martyr in the highest paradise].”
Ismail Haniyeh was the senior leader of terror group Hamas for 18 years. During this time, Hamas increased its rocket barrages on southern Israel and built more terror tunnels. Haniyeh was assassinated in Iran on July 31, 2024, during the Swords of Iron war, which Israel launched against Hamas in response to the October 7, 2023, Hamas atrocities.

On October 21, 2023, protesters held a pro-Hamas rally in central Philadelphia where activists praised Hamas leaders like Abu Obeida. In the march to the rally, activists repeatedly chanted in support of Israel’s destruction and called for “Intifada,” a show of support for terrorism. Chants in Arabic were more explicit as they incited religious violence and proclaimed that the “shahid habib Allah [martyr is beloved by God]!”
One such pro-terror chant also demanding Israel’s destruction was: “There is only one solution! Intifada, Revolution! There is only one solution! Intifada, Revolution! Intifada, Intifada! Long live the Intifada! Intifada, Intifada! Long live the Intifada! From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free! From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!”
